I have 4.2 hours on mine, so I’m still breaking it in. Has anyone ran the factory split clamps or a akropovic slip on?

im going to wait til 8-10 hours before trying the clamps out. I’m running keefers suggested suspension settings and it felt a little harsh, I went out 1 click on shock and fork rebound and it’s seems to be a little better. The bike is stable and predictable, just a little harsh in braking/acceleration bumps. Either way I’m pretty damn happy with it so far.

my only gripe is it is incredibly jerky in 1st and 2nd just riding through the pits. I will eventually get a vortex so I’m not too worried about it, just thought it was odd.

im going to put the akropovic on before the next ride, I definitely don’t need any more power, but I picked it up for a good deal so saving weight is a plus.

I also will go the 6500 route eventually, but I’m half tempted to try the JBI diy kit just to see how much of an improvement it will be

Btw does the powerparts acro work on both 350 and 450? I don't like running aftermarket pipes, but damn my 450 is loud... I'd consider a akro 24 fe take off if one came up.

Might see if anyone has a 23 husky silencer with the cone as a take off.

I believe the 250/350 run the same exhaust. The 450 only fits the 450. If I m wrong someone please correct me. I know my FMF exhaust says 250/350 on the shipping box.

I’ll get to the bottom of this tomorrow lol

I’m starting to think they will mount to either bike, possibly different specs?

Akrapoviks website should be helpful but what a joke. I was trying to find info on a system for my 23 MC350 and had better luck with just an internet search. Not sure if they’re going through a website redesign or what but its disappointing you can’t find info at all from the company that makes the stuff.

So the 450 FE slip on does fit the 350. What’s weird is most exhausts are labeled 250/350, so I’m guessing this would also mount to a 250, possibly just different specs. Weird

I'm running the split clamps.  Honestly I really could hardly tell a difference.  I also have the 6500 inserts which made a huge difference in front end feel.  I would start there and skip the clamps.  I'm also running a Luxon adjustable link in the rear(1mm longer).  This really helps get rid of the stink bug feel of the stock geometry.  Kind of gives it the feel of previous gen bike but in a better way.

My biggest gripe on the bike was that crummy herky jerky throttle response right off the bottom.  I finally broke down and picked up a mapped vortex from XPR.  Definitely spendy but was the only thing that fixed this.

Awesome that’s perfect. I actually have the luxon link sitting on a bench already. I was going to wait til the bike is broken in before changing anything to do with handling, but I may as well put it on. I’m definitely going the vortex route, just can’t decide on going with 6500s first or not. I’ll have to budget this out over a couple months lol. As of now I’m thinking vortex first

I would pull the trigger on the Vortex first.  It makes a huge difference.  I love the 6500's but the Vortex gave me way more confidence on the bike.  I hated that unpredictable throttle response off the bottom.  I would also get the occasional flame out which is totally gone now.

Can anyone with a TD mapped vortex post their mapping sheet? I’m calling tomorrow to get maps sorted, so far I’m wanting the Power map, torque map, engine braking map and a couple t4 maps. Anything else you guys recommend?

Pump gas and T4 use the same mapping from my understanding. TD is great to work with. Once you ride it if there is something that you want to change they will help you dial it in.

Oh perfect, that’s the exact mapping this vortex has already so they won’t have to change anything. I’m buying it privately and it’s already at twisted. I’m assuming a slip on wouldn’t change the mapping

No problem. I have a FMF full system and T4. Runs fantastic.

I have an XPR mapped Vortex and it's great. I am also running a PC full exhaust. I am not 100% convinced it is the best yet. I want to try to do some testing with the stock exhaust in the next couple of weeks.

With the exhaust, I did loose a little bottom end. I have only tried the initial two maps which are labeled max power and max torque. At the track just having fun, I feel the max torque has a better feel for me probably coming from 450's over the last 15years.

I think this bike would be even more impressive to me if I was coming off a 450 because of the handling. Coming off a 2 stroke it did feel on the heavy side at first, but I think it’s overall amazing so far. Low end is good and overrev seems really good too

If anyone out there is a larger gentleman and looking for a shock spring,  they are hard to find and I have one for sale.

54NM OEM are on back order

I have a white cannon racecraft spring for the new shock, 245mm length and 55NM or 5.6kg.M, same material as OEM I am lead to believe so it's good for relative tuning.

If you are 240lbs plus, this is for you, 10 hours on it and I'll put it on classifieds shortly.

I am down to 51NM spring now and if things stay on track,  I'll be giving away all my 38 waist TLD gear, LOL.

The mapping for pump, T4, and Pro6 is actually all the same (through Twisted). With the Pro6, they suggest tweaking the fuel trim levels. I just had this discussion with them.

I’m running the PC, I just put a Vortex on there too. I preferred the Torque map to begin with but after adding a PC linkage and getting the balance right I prefer the power map. I did find on some of the tighter U.K. tracks we have that the rear stayed light in some corners and the softer torque was better. The linkage has helped with the rear and I have to say I’m really impressed with it

I'm running a vortex from xpr and an adjustable luxon linkage 1mm longer aswell. Trying to get my shock dialed in now. 175lbs no gear. Running 105sag 38mm static with the OEM 45nm spring.

Does having a longer pullrod give more, less, or the same bottoming resistance?

Neon ufo plastics? Looks great. I have a set in the box still, working on designing graphics at the moment.

my vortex should be showing up tomorrow so I’m excited to try that. I did notice the akropovic slip on seemed to help with decel pop and even made it not quite as jerky in first and second

my vortex should be showing up tomorrow so I’m excited to try that. I did notice the akropovic slip on seemed to help with decel pop and even made it not quite as jerky in first and second

They are stock KTM plastic. Vortex made a huge difference. You will love it.

It really helped settled the chassis down. Not sure that I “needed” to do both. I think the linkage helped the most.
