Elsinore IV hands down
I like Cahuilla. The last time I rode Glen Helen, the main was like a vet track also. Call it vet+. Pretty rad.
I can't tell if Hubbard is joking. 😄
1. Cahuilla
2. Pala
3. Barona Oaks
4. LACR
5. Elsinore
That double straight into the left hand corner skitz me out

Solid
Haha. GH looks sick. Need to check it out.
I ride Pala the most but love every time I talk myself into passing it up and going to Cahuilla. Have a kick in the ass every time but the little extra drive is tough. I mostly only wave at Elsinore when passing by.
It's fun. I finally started making the inside after on Saturday.
I'm 100% serious. Best track. It's so fun
Lacr for sure , the main flow so good.
You got that right - Elsinore is in last place on ANYONES list. What a turd of a track.
Can you ride or race GH the week b4 the Big Vet race in November?
Frick cant beat Cahuilla. Perfect flowy track. Pala requires me to sack up which I have trouble doing.
JS7
Hitting it Friday this am, going for it. Might blow the berm.
Pala. It's the only vet track I still see pros riding on here and there.
When I left Pala on Tuesday it looked like they were working on a new layout.
The IV track has always been pretty fun and it's never too busy as a lot of riders still stick to the actual vet track which I think is garbage.
Great topic. 50+ vet rider and I'm planning on a moto trip to SoCal over Labor Day. I would like to ride Perris on Friday, GH Saturday and Cahuilla Sunday.
Is there a preferred tire for those tracks? I need new tires anyway. TIA
Pit Row
Dunlop 33. Enjoy the trifecta!
Use your brakes and grip the bike. You'll be fine. It's an easy jump
Glen Helen easily, as long as it is not packed with pros blowing by you.
Cahuilla and Pala are fun but on both of them, I sure would like something that is a little in between their Vet and Main tracks.
The old Cahuilla, like a decade+ ago, frigging ruled.
A new layout on the Vet or Main track at Pala?
The regular vet needs a face-lift for sure. Basically the same layout since they re-opened three years ago.
I would do Friday fox vet rather then Perris imo
Vet track. They setup a start gate and the way it was orientated, it looked like they might be switching the direction of the track again. They had 3 big CATS out there when we left so I'm guessing some changes are coming.
Fox/Pala vet track is absolutely horrible. I’ve ridden quite a few tracks around the country and it’s one of the worst. Nothing more than a dirt parking lot with jumps thrown in. Terrible flow, terrible dirt, and not a single corner that you can really rail. Not a single remarkable aspect to it. Tell me I’m wrong. 🙄
Your Wrong
You're wrong.
I question the terrible flow comment, it's the easiest track here to do motos on. I can come off the couch and crack a 30 on the track without arm pump. Rail all outsides and it's pretty easy.
Over half the track is all outside berms you can hurt in third on a 450.
Cahuilla Vet track is simple, very fun to ride with buddies...the middle triple is one of the worst built jumps I think I've ever seen...but overall fairly safe. I'm actually amazed how many people crash on the little step-up double that's right before the flagger stand.
Elsinore's actual vet track is...I don't know how to describe it other than it's a concrete highway with a couple random corners and offset jumps. Their am track in the corner has the best dirt on the facility, it's a bit fast, some fun jumps. The double into the corner referenced above is way worse looking than it is. I think the main problem is the run up is too long. I just cruise up to slow it and give it that nice lil last minute blip so you drop into the corner more. If you charge that one and try to soak it up, getting into the corner can be a little sketchy.
Perris vet is extremely basic, more like a mini track. Very tight in a couple of spots and very fast into flat corners on one side.
Never have ridden the LACR vet, we only go there occasionally for shoots and use the main. I never go with buddies that I'd follow around on the vet track. Same with GH.
This is fake news. The Pala vet is super fun. Only downside is it can get pretty rough on busy days later on in the afternoon. They used to prep mid-day and it was awesome before Fox took it over.
