I'll take a close up pic next time I'm at the shop. I know Nihilo concepts made it, so they may be of additional assistance.
Excellent 👌
I might contact them if your pics don't help me out.
Thanks
Here are a few pics of it. Sorry, bike is dirty
I built another set of wheels as spares with a softer terrain set of tires on them. I normally run MX53's at Barona, Elsinore, and Perris, but GH, Pala (early in the day), and Cahuilla probably would do better with a softer setup. I'm putting an MX33 on the rear and MX3S up front for this weekend's 2-Stroke World Championship at GH.
Got a set of Galfer wave rotors, a Renthal sprocket, and RaceTech titanium bolts to hold it all together. I also have some new graphics made up for the weekend so once they're on...more pics!
Last bit of coolness that I just got- my first custom painted helmet. It took about a year to complete, but this thing is sweet!

New graphics and vented front number plate from Moto Envy means new pics!
Wow Looks sweet!
How does it ride?
Great choice going back to the yellow wheels! That's just perfect
Did you need to modify the y piece of the frame or only engine mounts
The Y is untouched, but the rear piece that attaches to the cylinder head is custom and the pivot is shimmed.
Went out to Barona last weekend to ride and right upon landing, the bike went wah, wah, wah, dead, like I fouled a plug. It started back up for a few seconds, then died once more, again like I fouled a plug. I pushed it back to the truck, swapped the plug, then it wouldn't start at all. So, I packed it up and went home.
Once I got home, I noticed there was a wet spot around the base gasket. I pulled the cylinder and head off and found that part of the base gasket was missing. Best as I can tell, some coolant got into the combustion chamber and that's why it wouldn't fire up. I swapped the top end, replaced the base gasket, and it fired right up. Kind of a weird deal for this to happen at 3 hours or so after the rebuild, but I guess it does happen. Happy it didn't happen on the face of a jump or that it wasn't more serious.
Anyway, got the bike back together after heat cycled it a few times before taking it out to Perris Raceway for the HEP Suzuki ride day yesterday, May 24th.
Had the opportunity to bring the bike under the tent and get a few pics. Roczen's mechanic was really into the bike and we chatted about it a good 15 minutes. Unfortunately, I ended up high-siding on ~ lap 3 or 4 so my day was cut short. The bike and I are good, just a little banged up for the day. Good times all around though!
Top 10 best looking bikes ive seen, well done!
Oh don’t push his ego any higher 🤣. Great job Jordan, she is another beautiful girl
Hi mate nihilo don’t make these mounts anymore. You wouldn’t be able to measure them?
thanks
They never made them commercially, rather it was a custom job.
I’m not sure what you’d like me to measure exactly. Can you clarify?
Just dimensions of the engine mount on the front they have used? Did this allow the use of a stock airboot to the carb? I presume bottom engine mount is the factory one? and top one can be measured and made once front of engine is set in place.
The dimensions are more complex than I can give you over the internet without a CAD drawing or similar. I don’t really have the instrumentation to do this either so, not really sure I can tell you much. It will have to be fabricated.
The bottom engine mount is stock. The air boot is from an rmz250 with some light modifications to fit on the carb.

Go check out this series of Videos from mXrevival:

Now, I will say I Did Not watch the other ones - only the first. But, I assume there's some valuable information, that Will be of help to you.
To save me writing out essentially what I wrote in the comment below his video, I've put that link up above. My comments are at the top.
It's pretty much what I write, time after time to people contemplating doing an AF. And, he , Charles, didn't take offense (I can 'read' as a bit of an exasperated, opinionated old man) and added his comments to my writings that he pinned to the video.
As I always say, doing an AF is not 'Rocket Science' - it's simple engineering and fabrication. I've done so bloody many since the first AF 97CR250s came out. Of many sorts and generations.
I hate seeing it done badly, and, so often seeing little to no attention paid to correct positioning of the Countershaft Center Height in relation to the Swingarm pivot - so bloody many people set them Too High, f**king up the suspension and handling. Either through lack of knowledge, or building to the ancillaries. It's when I see Companies that make money from doing dreadful conversions, that my blood really boils.
I can only assume Jordan is meaning the Swingarm Pivot to Cases when he says the bottom engine mount is stock. As the lower, forward mount is surely not. RMZs bolt in plate / frame interface at the front mount makes things a fair bit easier than some other AF projects, by the way. I helped a friend do one about 2 years ago. I just did the engine mounting ( oh, and the radiators) as I deemed correct, and left him to the ancillaries - Airbox / Airboot / Carb, basically. I gave him raw stock for the pipe mounting to do himself, then he came back for those to be welded on.
I've tried to find pictures of my head stay mounts, but I lost the RMZ build pictures in my last computer 'killing'. I did bent plate mounts from the existing frame mounts, by the way, not an inside mounted cross member like Jordan's builder did.
I hope you get it sorted - making your 'own' bike, is something special. And, when I rode my mates RM250AF, it was an absolutely wonderful bike.
Bearuno is correct, the pivot to cases mount is stock. The plates at the front and top mount were custom made by Nihilo. As I recall, it wasn't terribly hard for them to make while preserving the relationship between pivot bolt and countershaft sprocket center of the RMZ-250.
In bike news, the OEM stator went out while I was riding last week. Ordered an OEM replacement and coil. I suppose the motor is nearing the 20-years old mark, so this was bound to happen at some point. The bike has a JD ignition programmed by PC in 2015 for previous build so that's fairly recent and appears to be functioning correctly.
Finally picked up a PC carbon/kevlar silencer for this project. With the frame conversion, the silencer's mounting points weren't going to work. Unlike the aluminum silencer's mount that I fabbed up and welded, the carbon fiber's silencer had two mounts riveted into the can. I popped the rivets, removed both mounts and filled them with new rivets. Then, I re-riveted one of the mounts that the silencer came with in the correct position. Turned out pretty well IMO:
This bike is soooooo sick.
