The only way I am remotely bummed for anybody in this shit show is if Hunter looses the title by a single equipment DNF. Even that would be a stretch because that's racing.

My bike blew up at the start of a race, stopped about 60 feet from the gate, 1981 / Berthoud CO.
I had a chance at making the 1st corner in the top 5 and felt good about my chances for a podium, 250C class, serious business!
I jumped off and punched the front fender out of blind rage as it fell over, danced around like my hair was on fire. I immediately felt like a tool. Still regret it, just a loss of composure in a moment. I learned from it.
Deegan is probably feeling the same way and will learn from it.

The big difference is c class riders aren’t representing companies that are paying them big bucks to ride. I can understand the frustration either way
They also don't have the pressure and expectations to win.....
I'm not a fan of the kid and I do think he acted inappropriately. That being said, I'm pretty sure the majority of us wouldn't have handled it any differently. Still doesn't make it right though. As a member of the majority, RC or Reed would have melted. As minority members Dunge or Bailey would have likely pushed their bikes back to the pits. Unless Deegan simply does not care about class, I bet he learns from this.
Do you think star was thrilled with his tantrum and kicking the bike? A lot of riders have pressure and are expected to win, except I doubt he was expected to win this season, although being in the position he was in at this point in the season definitely added to that. I expect he put more pressure on himself than anyone else
I will say that Star cared way less about it than many on here.....
I'm still waiting for someone to come in here and rationalize that Star/Yamaha/Monster actually are super pumped about the incident because it brought them so much more airtime and exposure how he got all tangled up in the Monster Yamaha banners and really engaged their core fanbase.
