Pretty cool and chill interview for most part, a few things that rub me the wrong way - when comparing James and Chad you say they both have the same amount of championships (3) - thats on big bikes, Stewart also has a few 125 outdoor and SX championships or you don't count small bike wins. Also putting down former riders, saying that some years it was harder for Jeffrey to win MX2 races compared to Cairoli to win in MX1, as putting down MX1 competition, riders as Desalle, Paulin, Frossard, Strijbos, de Dicker ...

I'm on my third playthrough of this pod. To say I enjoy it is an understatement, I don't think I've re-listemed to a podcast since the Johnny Campbell Whiskey Throttle Show.
It does sound like two buds shooting the breeze sometimes, but that adds to the coolness IMO. If you ever doubt that Lewis can bring the hard hitting 'dateline' style, then listen to his Adam Bailey Uncensored pod.
It did seem like Jeffrey gave tons of props to Tomac, Cairoli, Prado, and Jett. I was surprised that he didn't say anything about any 250 guys being gnarly but also argued that it's not easy to win in MX2 or someone else would be racking up wins like he did. I can see why some people (myself included) have considered him arrogant or disrespectful in the past.
I really enjoyed Jeff's humility throughout the interview and he comes across as very practical. In fact, from the first question he answered, he exuded this quality, straight up saying only having 5 titles pisses him off.
I really enjoyed this. I like Jeffrey even more now. I think Lewis did a great job and is onto something with this series. It's like Whiskey Throttle Show with all the fat cut off. I am interested in Lewis's thoughts about Herlings not really acknowledging Chase Sexton's speed or skill.
Everyone's different, so I adjust my interview style for each guy. I know Jeffrey responds best to a very chilled atmosphere.
I think that got more out of him than other interviews, so happy days. A chilled vibe was not kissing his ass though... Haha.
I was surprised that he didn't include Chase in some conversations but then, for whatever reason, that seems common.
I feel like people overlook what Chase can do or focus on the negatives. I can't figure out why – that'd be a cool article.

Just finished it this morning. Really great interview. Aside from them actual content the audio quality for being a mobile podcast was top notch. I have a rather large yard to mow so I get in hours of podcasts during the week mowing. I could hear both Lewis and Jeffrey clear as day. Even when listening to Pulp podcasts his audio sometimes is very inconsistent and hard to hear while mowing. SML podcasts are awful audio quality sometimes. Especially Anton speaking since he is usually remote. So here is some other feedback for you other than just the content. You seem to have your setup dialed and that means a lot.

He is saying that those top 450 riders, that kicked butt in the 250s with most winning multiple championships, couldn’t break in to this list….Hunter Lawrence, Haiden Deegan, RJ Hampshire, Maximus Vohland, Tom Vialle, Justin Cooper, Jo Shimoda, Guillem Farres, Levi Kitchen, Carson Mumford. That is such a dumb comment I should not have even waisted time on it.

Yeah, so what, J Martin was a 2 time champ, how’s he doing this year? DF won in 2019 kicking the crap out of Jett, how’s he doing against Jett this year, yep can barely keep him in sight for 1/2 lap. CW AC and AP are just not into outdoors anymore and are not the same caliber as they were when they won 250 championships, at least not outdoors. You say it’s the dumbest comment, but you guys seem to have a one track mind, you guys never seem to think logically or put things in perspective and context. JS7 was probably the fastest ever, yet in 2016 couldn’t crack the top 10. Guys get battered, injured, and Father Time catches up to us. Smh

Jett didn't really battle for wins his rookie year. DF had him covered rather easily. He broke through at Pala to end the season. He won it straight up but Dylan didn't really need to win that race either. He was just doing what he had to to win the title

Look how bad CS is whooping up on the boys and he didn’t do much of anything in the 250 outdoors, not a champion either, so the 250 champion argument doesn’t hold much weight in this discussion, maybe 5 yrs ago it would have.
Ok, let's use RJ Hampshire as an example because they have the most time racing each other, and RJ is 4th currently, well inside the top 10. Forget the other 6 guys because RJ is ahead of them currently.
In every single championship AP and RJ have raced against each other (5 in total), AP came out on top. RJ has never beat Plessinger in a championship, even though he has nearly 3 extra years of experience.
But somehow, you honestly believe that RJ would beat Aaron Plessinger now? Plessinger is currently ranked 3rd in the premier series, and RJ is ranked 4th in the little bike class. You can't just say "they are not the same caliber rider" when the data clearly points a different direction.
I'll let you win this one, you will no doubt come back with a compelling and irrefutable case.

The other gentleman has implied that Herlings would not be a top 5 guy in 250SX due to a practice crash. Jeffrey has more experience than Jett did at 16, so I'm wondering if they can somehow spin Jett's results as not being a top 5 guy.
My guess that guy is a mxgp rider probably a dude like Prado not saying it’s Prado but I get the fun of those comments of it behind the screen
Going off topic but I didn't realise how tight it was at the top. Just 31 points separating the top five. The final three rounds are going to be great.
