LL sucks and everyone knows it. It makes DC a lot of money tho so good for him.
How many races did the women's series have back when it was a thing? I believe they raced during intermission but on the same track as the pros and they got a tiny bit of TV time. Seems like that slot would be perfect to fill for this sort of thing.
Plus it would build hype for future series. I don't follow amateurs like I use to so I don't know too much about who's up and coming. It would be nice to get a little coverage so I could look forward to who will be in the class next year. Similar to how it's exciting when a rider moves into the 450 class for the first time.
I don't think it's the best track either, but I do hope it sticks around and remains a big part of our sport just for the tradition and stories behind it. I was pretty bummed when Ponca City stopped having their NMA national. I'm glad another promoter is now hosting it but it never felt the same to me.
It does seem like it would work having the age limit, but there are so many riders in Europe who could be around the Top10 in MX2 but reach 23 years old and are then forced to move to MX1. There are not enough team rides in MX1 so as they dont really have privateers in GP because they dont pay, lots retire.
I think this looses a lot of riders from the sport who are good enough that we really need to stay.

The US Amateur system needs something more, but I think Euros stay up late at night worrying and developing creative ways to say “Look at how better we are than y’all.”
doubt it... I think we will just see a lot more euros coming up through Emx and MX2 and then make the transition to AMA.
I genuinely believe we are coming into a new wave/path of kids over the next few years of more euro riders going across to AMA after a year or two in MX2.
Which I think is exciting!
Not really anything new, the best of the best (apart from a select few) have always left Europe to come to USA to race the premier series' in the world.
eh id disagree.. we see maybe 1 euro rider every few years.. but wouldn't say consistently. Since DF14 to Vialle. who has come across to Race SX & MX? and DF come to America at a much older age.
Who’s worthy of it?
Gajser and Herlings can barely stay healthy riding MX only, you really think either one could survive Supercross?
this is my whole point.. its not about whos "worthy", im saying i believe we will see more kids at a younger age go across to america from the EMX/MX2 class. i dont think we will see as many riders move up to MX1 in the MXGP. i reckon more and more will use EMX and MX2 as a stepping stone to get to America.. Like Lawrence brothers have done, Vialle and now Coenen brothers.
Im not talking about riders who are Vets.. Im talking about the young kids who are still in development
When was the last time the best of the best came here? Prado had the opportunity, and turned it down because the MX1 title was more important to him than coming here. I’m am sure though, if he wins this year he’ll come because he’s said he doesn’t want people to think he was afraid of coming.
Vialle? Sure, but he came because Decoster needed a 250 rider and the Austrian 450 teams were full.
Hunter? No, he was barely a top 5 GP guy
Jett? Never even rode a GP.
The last time the “Best of the best” came here was Ken, 11 years ago, and there have been plenty of good riders that stayed
They’re not clamoring to get here anymore the way the Americans think, the top guys make just as much money as our top guys, they can thank Herlings for that.
All the riders you’re talking about are represented by the same guy, and he wants to get them here. You have to give him credit though, for seeing Jett long before anyone else did, and seeing the marketability of twin brothers.
You don’t think Gajser and Herlings were worthy of it when they were 19-20 years old? They both had the opportunity, and turned it down.
If Gasjer had come at 18.. he would of been battling for titles.
