it’s been a long time since we’ve had such high drama in this sport. if witnessing the meteoric rise of Jett Lawrence in an exceedingly rare, McGrath like moment weren’t enough, Tomac’s recent announcement on his return has electrified the atmosphere. these two stories playing out in tandem makes 2024 a season we may remember for a very long time. we needed a huge story like this, and this one is entirely unique to anything I can remember. this is very much like if Rick Johnson had eventually healed from his wrist injury and returned one year later to face off with Damon Bradshaw. just saying, these are two preeetty unique stories coming together.
Such a missed Title opportunity.

I dont think tomac himself has announced his return. Just alot rumors from sundays a stars ride day.

No he said so pretty directly in an interview this past weekend. I think I saw it on Instagram or Tik-Tok. He sounded clear, he’s coming back.
ET3 will return to Supercross in ‘24 and shock everyone. He will be very rested, healed, and hungry after giving the 23 supy title away. Jett will be a handful, but a 450 supy rookie. Chase will struggle on the KTM. Webb will be there keeping Jett and ET honest. Eli will grab that 3rd ring.

He said Sunday he’d be announcing his feature plans Wednesday which is today..
He did an interview @ the Alpinestar ride day where he states "need to get this thing healed up , back to where I was so I can be competitive, because in my mind I definitely feel like I'm not done". That's slightly paraphrased but he said himself he feels there's more in the tank, I'm stoked !!!
While he hasn't officially announced he's coming back, he's said several things that very clearly point to him coming back if the listener is able to infer anything at all. Matthes said Tomac was releasing an official statement/announcement Wednesday (today)... even though I know he's coming back, I'm still excited to hear the specifics - SX '24 only? SX and MX? Multiple more years?
He announced it now on instagram. Back for 24
Saw the title put a massive smile on my face know we all get to see him ride again, and stoked for Tomac and his recovery.
My head works in ways I don’t understand cause after that this got stuck in my head….
As huge ET3 fan, I hope his recovery continues ahead of schedule and he is able to line up at A1 in 2024 100% healthy and ready to race.
His Injury in Denver left a big void in the 450 class and his Fans in major shock. With Jett's amazing rookie season it's easy for forget ET3 Won both championships last season and was cruising to a back to back SX championship before the injury. A healthy Eli still has a lot of gas in the tank and I can't wait to see what he brings to the table in 2024
