Did shimoda leave on his own terms or is PC just not resigning him?

I believe he wanted to sign with a team that also had 450 potential. PC has no 450 team.

I would have thought that Joe would be more loyal to PC as they took him in when Honda left him with out a ride when Gieco went belly up.

WHEN your not happy your not happy ..I dont think any of the PC riders are happy with the bikes..It also seems that Ryder D was alot  smoother and faster  on his Team Green bike than what he is on his PC bike ..

He is friends with the Lawrence Brothers and all rode for Geico.

Good for Joe Shimoda landing a factory Honda ride.

I’m pretty sure I heard Mitch didn’t even want Jett R on the team and that was even posted on here last year after Loretta’s he said he didn’t have room or a bike for him but monster and kawi pushed for it to happen .

Yea kitchen doesn't like the deegan circus. He is more of a relaxed guy.

Some 1 asked him about moving to Cali and he said he doesn't know any1 in California and its still far from home and his gfs family lives in florida. But he will do team testing in Cali.

Sounds like he will be at the Lawrence's only issue will be if Mitch let's him keep a bike there with so much Honda stuff going on there.

For Jo he is staying in cali but I wouldn't be surprised if he spent a fair bit of time at the Lawrence's.

Just curious what the 2024 team might look like. Think 2023 outdoors is pretty much a write off at this point.

Who’s got a contract for next year? Who might be available that they could sign?

Is Forkner still on the team in 2024? Via contract? Or would they try and sign him again?

Any of the Yamaha guys available? Would love to see Justin Cooper on a PC Kawasaki.

Anyone leaving Star to go to PC would be a downgrade.

Because of the bike, or the program, or pay? I’m pretty sure Mitch knows what he is doing and other then maybe the holeshot I’d say a Mitch tuned Kawasaki 250 is close enough to the Star 250 that it does not matter. Hunter is on a Honda and has beat the Star bikes on many occasions and I believe Hampshirite as well.

Didn’t PC hire the guy that really improved Hondas 250 engine program for next year?

Jett Reynolds has had some good motos for basically being off for 2 years with injury. Hoping he gets a shot somewhere.

I talked to the dad of an amateur kid over the weekend and they personally know some of the Star riders. No names were mentioned and I didn't ask, but apparently their program is pretty rigid and it doesn't suit some of the riders. I was also told a couple people have turned down offers from Star because of their program.

Just guessing, but I think it's safe to say that Levi is one of the guys that doesn't gel with the team. I can easily see him not liking the Deegan fanfare.

As far as PC, I don't know what is happening over there. The bike is fast, they have talent, but no one is having success on it. Team Green hasn't had anyone make the transition from amateur to pro and be a threat in several years now.  Ryder D was their last hope and PC didn't even have room for him on the team. I don't know what's going on, but it really feels like Mitch needs a major shakeup.

Someone earlier in the thread mentioned a low pressure team like HEP, BarX or even Club would be a good fit for Jett, and I tend to agree with that. He has all the talent in the world, but has to be feeling the pressure to push himself to uncomfortable levels to deliver on all the support Kawi/PC have given him over the years.

I think Drew Adams is going to be the next Kawi guy that makes the amateur to pro transition successfully.

He does indeed look good, he shares a common physical trait that 2 former greats have too Tongue

No one asked but i used to race with Drew and Casey Cochran. Casey and I collided at Millcreek on 65s. I still have that exact bike in my room which has a dent in the exhaust pipe from that crash.

Who do you think will be the better rider out of the two?

What's with his fitness? Fair question.

Mitch needs more cash maybe...

Anywho, something needs to change.

I was wondering the same. I think he works with RV on the bike, don't know if RV is also helping him fitness wise. Seems like he has top 5 speed for 15 minutes and then just drops significantly. I hope he will figure it out and get's some good results in the last few races.
