This is mainly for the Aussie fans. Who is 3rd rider for MXoN?

You would assume it is Mitch based on last year, and the fact he is in Europe already. But he is struggling to get top 10-15 in MXGP. If he is keen I would choose Ferris. Even now he is still dominating.

Aus are favourites ahead of French. US will be lucky to podium.

That’s a bold statement on vital expect back lash….

I’d pic Ferris….

One problem with Ferris would be bike availability in Europe maybe not a massive deal but Mitch is over there and on Factory Kawi haha.. Evans has done a tonne of improving lately too! Would love to see Ferris get one last go though

@jemcee I wouldnt say Mitch has a made a lot of improvement. I think like Ciancarulo, he is slowly riding himself back into form after lots of injuries. Which for him is exactly what he needs to do right now; But he's easily 3-5 seconds a lap off the top guys. I agree the logistics may be the main decider instead of speed or form.

Usa seem to think the 250 result is important as a half bad rider could get 25th where a half bad 450 guy would get 12th.

So I think hunter on the 250.

3rd could be beaton. He has mxgp experience. And I don't know if ppl noticed he was pitted with/to the the side of hrc. Using a hrc mechanic and facilities. And team Australia normally just rent a bike. Something team USA don't understand. Apparently the whole team kawi has to go. And Anderson can't just ride a krt mxgp bike with his parts.

@deanwhite51 thats a good idea! didnt think of that.
Only thing I will say is that Wilson has a terrible overseas record. Think it comes on the back of poor teams and injuries, but he has struggled with bad results.
The Beaton idea is also good. He's not as fast as Dean, but you could have all 3 lads on HRC factory bikes. Give Beaton Chase's bike. And he knows Europe.

I would put Hunter and Jett on the 450’s too.

@Deja New I think statistically, whichever team has the best results from their 250 rider, most frequently wins mxon. So leaving Hunter on that to win the class or be right up there, would be better than putting him up to 450 then getting another 250 guy to be 15th or so.
Is Wilson or Nathan Crawford better than that - yes... but its hard to travel overseas and do well when your not comfortable. I think Dean, Beaton or Mitch would be more comfortable.

all good points. I think Hunter on the 250 would be best bet. other than last year. he has always done well at this event. Aus have some good options and i think podium threats regardless.

its funny seeing the difference in the commincation/conversations on this forum with the aussies compared to the forum on Team USA hahah

@deanwhite51 HaHa I agree and noticed that. All civil conversations with fair points.

Versus.... well - I will stop typing before I get extreme backlash LOL.

Does Duffy not race anymore? I remember the whole deal where he almost died but I thought he had made a comeback to Australia pro racing.

I think its this.I spoke to hunter at salt lake sx about mxon,he said he and jett would be on 450s this year and the 250 guy would need a factory supported 250

@creature654 He has returned to racing, but still coming back up to speed. He spent 6-12 months off the bike recovering. He's on GasGas in Aus, an usually fits in around 10th place. Probably lost a lot of confidence, and also bike fitness. Can't blame the poor bloke.

I still think you gotta go Mitch on potential and exposure to that level of racing. If the brothers do well he needs one solid moto and we're gravy.

If we don't knock down a few of these things the next few years I won't believe it!

I did this big spreadsheet last year to try and forecast the teams and places but it gets messy when you try to do every team.

But looking at what we assume to be top 3 in USA, French, Aus.and guessing each riders finishes and points.

Screenshot 4 0
(points are based on rider overall finish assuming they all line-up together - not per class)

But remember you get to drop your worst result. Assuming Jett & Hunter do great. The 3rd rider just needs to get 1 decent ride.

France looks strong with 3 top 10 riders.

Bike problem. From another news report....

"The throttle cable popped off in between the tube and the housing, it just got jammed and I couldn’t even release the throttle."

Wow, I poke my head in here and immediately thought I was at another message board! lol Such a calm and civil discussion.
Quick question for you guys, I used play MadSkills with a few Australians and Kiwis online, they would always call me a Sookie Cunt. Should I be concerned 😧 😂

Oh he did have a big step up a few rounds ago where he went from struggling in the back of the pack to top 10's.. He said in an interview that he was struggling with an illness that he's on top of now..

A 'sookie c*nt' is someone who complains, and whinges about minor shit and needs to harden up.
However - I wouldn't be too worried. Aussies tend to take the piss (mickey) out of one another a lot. Its a way of bonding sometimes LOL.

I'm sorry, but Jeds 13th in moto one did not show MXON greatness.

Ferris is my pick, or maybe in the next few weeks Evans will improve a bit.

I know nothing about him.  Where has he come from with respect to his riding experience?
