Never much cared for the MI movies. Great stunts, but bad stories. In the first one you could clearly see the street bikes had dirt tires on them....that drove me nuts.
Tom didn't jump off of shit. This is how they're promoting the movie. God people are so gullible.
In the clip you can see the swingarm is broken:

No thanks 👍
Anyone watch the movie yet? Reviews from both the audience and critics are off the charts.
Mad respect to Tom, an all-timer for sure.
Risky Business....Thanks, I'm here all week.
I saw it yesterday.
Good for what it is : a Big, Action / Adventure Movie.
I go into these 'big' movies, knowing (well, thinking) what it will be, and adjust my expectations accordingly. I see a Lot of movies - the smaller / Indie movies are generally what I find far better, and infinitely more memorable.
But, they haven't stuffed up this particular 'franchise'.
Cruise knows what people want, and, he gives it to them. He's proved that with this, and and the Top Gun of last year.
Something that the big studios, with their various, massive flops with Movie and small screen franchises, need to take on.
How long can they keep f**king up and losing Millions, if not Billions?, They deserve all of the disasters they have been having, in the last few years.
I have to say, I finally realized why Rebecca Ferguson has intrigued me over many movies - besides her acting talents - she looks exactly like my Niece here in OZ. And I mean exactly, she's a doppelganger of my Lydia.
Yes he did. Tom does all the big stunts in his movies. All of the blu rays have behind the scenes making of the big stunts. And this latest jumping off the cliff stunt has a behind the scenes youtube video about it.
The MI scene where he's hanging off the side of jet is real too. He's obviously wearing a harness that's edited out in the move in case he were to let go.
The MI scene where he runs and leaps off a skyscraper and swings on the rope is also real. They built a huge wooden tower that he's actually jumping off and swinging. They used cgi in the movie to make it look like he's jumping off the skyscraper, but the jump and rope swing is real. So the fear and trepidation in his eyes is actually real cause the jump is real. That's why Tom Cruise is the man.
Went and saw it last night and loved it, it's 2hrs and 45minutes long, but it was action packed from start to finish. I'm not a big fan of his scientology beliefs, but the dude knows how to make a movie. He's kind of an enigma, he owns and flies a P51 Mustang, Gulfstream private jet, Ski Dives and now he's jumping motocross bikes off cliffs. Definitely has stamped his mark on the world.
Adverse to truth/reality I see.
He's not a kid anymore - props. He's not a bad actor - for a stuntman
