Here's a fun little tidbit to think on...

What percentage of people on here posting in the A1 timed qualifying thread would have had Deegan for USA 250 MXoN rider???

1%???  Now we're at 90%???  Talk about moving the needle.  Love him or hate him, you gotta give the kid some serious credit!

You could probably put a team of current 250 riders together and they’d do better..(than AP or anyone else running 450s)..

RJ 450

Deegan 450

Kitchen 250

Deegan or RJ would be beating AP if they jumped on 450s..

Belgium and France should be the early favorites to win, Spain, Australia  will dice for the podium, Gonna be a tough road for USA to  podium with all the injuries but. You never know and that's why they run the race

Belgium? They have 3 good young guys in the 250 class, but they got no one on the 450 side. Netherlands would be a better choice with Herlings,Coldenhoff and De Wolf. That’s been an A+ team if they all stay healthy…

Depending on who France sends, and obviously the individual rider's health at the end of the season, the Dutch have to be the heavy favorites as of right now. If this is indeed The Hoff's last season, you know he's going to bring it.

Be careful on here posting facts, some riders are scraping pennies together to race the mxon lol..

For the MX2 rider, Deegan seems to be the obvious choice, although he’s going to be like a fish outta water at Ernee. He starts well which is a big deal

I could see Cooper getting the nod if he puts in some good rides like he did at the wick a couple more times. Certainly his experience in that event would be a huge advantage

Are we certain Chase won’t race it? Chase and AP would be a really strong combination

Cooper is getting married that day. He is out. So yeah, Deegan is the obvious choice for MX2.

At the very least it would do him well to get his first MXdN out of the way in a year that there is no pressure on the US.  Let's be honest, in a year when we are talking about AP and RJ as possible riders, a US victory is not a likely outcome.

Didn't Ferrandis say he was an American at Red Bud podium interview? I think we claim him for US Open class.

It would be awesome if Webb could go on his new ride..

The good thing is, it is far enough away that some guys should be able to get back into race shape by then to be options. Jmart, Anderson, Barcia, shoot we will even throw Forkner on the return list. But it would be cool to see a Masterpool, Deegan, AP7 team go.

So no one thinks Marchbanks or Masterpool could be potential options? Clearly they both have the speed. If they keep it up another 2-3 rounds, how can someone claim a better stake to the race?

Also, when's the last time a non-factory rider or privateer races a MXdN?

If Dylan is out at Star, especially given that the race is in France, that will put him in a tough spot.

I'm not sure:

- What bike he would have to ride

- If he will even race if he is getting acclimated to a new bike (ala Sexton)

Kawi USA's reason for not going has nothing to do with Roger so you can take off you Kooksey hat...it has to do with current managements view of the race. They have no interest in racing outside the US and prefer to use the time to get ready for the next season, which they have proven previously by using the race to get a head start on testing for the next year...Tomac at Red Bud is the example.

As of right now, I’d say our best option is …

MX1: Plessinger

MX2: Deegan

MX3: Hampshire

Deegan has earned the 250 spot.

I think Masterpool has had AP's number a few times lately.  He should be considered.

AC has been faster than Anderson most weeks lately.  I'd give AC the nod over Anderson at this point.

Assuming Sexton and Webb are out, I believe Masterpool, AP, Deegan would be our best team at the moment.

RJ can be a strong fill in for either class.

If Barcia makes it back...he's on the team.  Anderson has the same heart so he's in.  Deegan has more than earned a spot.

I would absolutely love to see Chase shine but damn dude....you have to stay off the ground.  Show me.

If he's chosen, I'll put in the first $100.  It's a start.

I have no doubt Chase would be fastet even if he first threw a leg over the new bike on the start gate.  But, can he stay on 2 wheels?

Ask mxb2, according to him there’s plenty of money around for riders to get to the MXdN.
