The power motorsports link above will ship. No sales tax with them, probably set you back about $8,200 to your door
I was quoted 9200. I ended up buying a low hour 2014 and put the 23 plastics on it. Im in it for half the price of a 23.

Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
Do you have to swap the subframe for the new body work?
Yup. $1200 for the entire restyle.
That hurts a little bit
I got mine for $7800~ OTD on Memorial Day Weekend. Last one around here...
I wanted a 2 stroke but didn’t even bother looking for a YZ. I didn’t figure there was one to be had. I put a deposit down on a Beta this morning. Same for last fall when I was looking for a 2023 250 YZF, wasn’t one to be found. I ended up with a Honda. Either Yamaha sells everyone they make or they don’t make many. I used to be a Yamaha guy but gave up. Seems like there are a few left over 450’s to be had but not a fit for some of us.

I bet it’s close to a grand in most cases to get one shipped.
How much did you did you pay for the low hour ‘14 and what were the hours on it?
You could sell the old tank at least for a bit and get that price closer to 1,000. But I do agree 1.2k is steep. I wonder if you can fab up a stock old style aluminum frame YZ sub frame and make it play with the new bodywork. I have seen people make the pre 2002 yZ’s work with the next gen plastics and airbox.
None of the old subframes will work, they are very different. The time and effort to make it work would be worse than just buying a new one. However, I did my 2017 to 2022 conversion for like 900ish. I ended up selling the 17 tank, subframe, seat, stock exhaust, and airbox.... So I was out of pocket about 300ish for the update. Well worth it. The new seat shape and feel is a huge upgrade.
That’s good to know.
I’m wanting another YZ for enduro riding, just haven’t decided if it makes sense to buy an X, or a buy regular one and convert my ‘05 to an X.
Sure does, but I'm $4000 ahead of what my dealer wanted for a 23.
sounds like you got a good deal on the 14. I love these bikes, my personal bike is a 2010 yz250, but I don't think they are worth high sevens or 8k + OTD.
