Because looks like we’re in for an RC type of domination outdoors and MC type of domination indoors, but worse, at least RC had James and Chad to deal with, but I just don’t see anyone coming up close to Jett’s level. It’s hard to believe Deegan is only 2 years younger than Jett too.
I wonder if Honda will do to Jett what they did with MC, RC & Valentino Rossi?
We almost need it to happen in the next few years to create some excitement.
Idk, there’s a whole new dynamic under the HRC tent these days, with the entire Lawrence family there and Lars managing. I think their dad Darren has a lot of input as well. I think this is the main reason Chase is leaving. Chase’s dad is a polirizing figure too. To many chefs in the kitchen so to speak.
What will be interesting is, if or when, they try and break up the family.
Not to worried about it. He has no real fit competition right now. Everyone lining up against him is 75-80% healthy at best. 23, 21 14, 9, 7 and 2 are all not near theor best right now and Jett is coming of a short sx season perfectly heatllthy. Kenny showed about were jets speed was. He came in half way off the couch and kept him honest. Chase at the Pala wasn't 100% and dogged him the entire time on a tough to pass track. He's racing privateers and and the walking wounded.
Pretty sure things would look a little different with a true full gate. But you can only race who lines up so.
ones tomac and chase were hurt we all new it was going to be a cake walk this year for jet just wait come sx next year it will be good racing

I didn't have a problem in the world with RC's Domination. To me, THAT was exciting.... knowing that you were seeing domination like it had not been seen before. I hate it when "anyone can win!!!". Well, hell, just draw the name out of a hat then. If I'm racing, I want to DOMINATE, to crush my enemies, see them driven before me, and to hear the lamentations of their women.
And also shoot champagne from hip level on the podium.
RC Forever!!!
You forgot about Barcia too. All it would take is one Barcia t-bone and bye bye perfect season. This has to be the most depleted field in mx history.
I lived through MC, RC and JS, while the boredom factor increases it is AWESOME seeing the elite use a motorcycle. Fuggin magic!! Love it. Enjoying being blessed to witness it first hand. Catch a little roost in person if your lucky
how is it depressing? JS7 and RC's undefeated seasons are the most memorable ones of my lifetime.
They were Muricans
There was a lot of talk that AP and DF were going to school the kid and today so far he had almost 30 seconds on them. I thought by now they would have got it together.
The Chase excuse not being 100% at Pala is ridiculous. He is getting his ass handed and for the looks of it this is going to be the norm. I'm already seeing the writing on the wall for 2024: "he is getting used to the KTM" or something along those lines.
Weege RC and James bench racing on whether Jett would be perfect in the 250 class or if Eli was racing is gold. Basically saying this is a weak field without saying this is a weak field.
His only "weak tracks" could be Washougal because he doesnt like that track and Unadilla because Chase is unreal there. If he is not beaten in any of those he is going perfect season for sure
Nope.
people goona hate just to hate , seems that’s the trend nowadays, sit back , relax & watch greatness
I think Washougal isn't jetts strongest. He has said he doesn't like the track. but he should be decent there. But I think it's the best chance for chase.
Unidilla jett should be fast. He was on the 250. That's the race that kick started his 1st championship. I think he went 1-1 railing around j-coop and jmart in both motos.
I thought the same at first, but from the looks of things, this kids on another. Chase doest look to be any slower than last year & he has zero chance
A couple of times he has not gotten the hole shot I have watched him pull some impressive riding to pass whoever got the holeshot (I think Ferrandis?) within a couple of turns. He didn’t take long to run down Chase in the first moto today either. He definitely has another gear that he can use for at least a few corners.
Pit Row
I'll never forget Jett railing the outside around Cooper
Good point on Unadilla. If there is only one time Sexton straight up beats Jett, that would be the place. Sexton really was unreal there last year.
I remember MC pulling a holeshot and people heading for the exits.
No pro likes washougal. Jett has perfect body position & barely squeezes the bars. And like to scare himself, ride outside the envelope a few notches if he would have too. I,m the same way it’s super easy to go Mach 5.
He went 7-2 at Dilla last year
I bet Dungey would tell you he liked Washougal
Go rewatch the race.
He qualified 1st by over 2 seconds.
He had his 2 worst starts (honda 250 didn't make his life easy, honda 450 is prob the best bike out the gate).
And he crashed in both motos I think he may have had fastest laps in both races also. He was fastests he simply didn't execute.
2021. I think jett and jmart schooled the field 1 moto they was about 40-50seconds infront of jcoop.
At the end of the 21 season Unadilla was probably jett best race. And the turning point in the season.
"racehorse in a farmers barn"
At some point, our focus will shift to secretly rooting for 22-0. Once he's beaten, there's no more excitement in the season. Who will be the first to beat Jett/can he have a perfect season is what's keeping people watching right now, after that happens there's nothing to look forward to.
Real question: what are the chances of JB getting close enough for a t-bone? And is it considered a t-bone if you use your back wheel to block a passing rider resulting in a crash?
Smartass stuff aside, I’m really curious to see how Jett’s speed compares to a healthy, full 450 gate. I think Jett still wins a lot, even with a full class of the best riders.
Get used to what we are seeing. He passed Ferrandis and Sexton at will in a blink yesterday and pulled away. I thought Rc's 10 straight outdoor championships was untouchable and while he is a long way from there and a lot of things have to go right including staying injury free this guy could do it. Currently don't see anyone coming up through the ranks at his consistent level.
The way he got around those two so fast was wild. My buddies were there and said you have to see him in person to believe it. He's just floating around the track while everyone else is bulldozing it. I'm be at Dilla and Budds, I can't wait
Post a reply to: I love watching Jett ride, but also very depressing lol
