After reading VitalMX AC9 posted IG clip from SX track today. Seems he is taking starts and riding.

I know of 2 people that saw it, but about 2-3 weeks ago AC9 put out an Instagram story stating he was heartbroken and sorry, but he was injured and not racing Supercross. I tried to refresh and listen again, but as soon as it was there, the story disappeared. I did see a November 2022 date, but I can’t remember the day. I immediately came here to see if anyone posted about it, but crickets. I didn’t think of it again until I saw this on Vital.

I forsure saw this as well.

Im confident that if somethings going on, AC and Kawi are working on it and probably have already come to a decision behind the scenes.  Even those in the know likely have been told not to talk about it and are doing just that.  It's noones business other than AC and Kawi and noone else needs to know or talk about it.

Weird thing to say.  When racing he posts consistant fastest qualifers, good starts, and usually good results.  Anyone that doesn't notice him isn't watching the races.

Doesn't seem like a regrettable decision.  AC Loves the sport.  If he could be out there and be competative he would.  Retiring, if that's even something he's entertaining, forsure would not be a choice for him to walk away.

this such an oddball statement and is exactly why our sport's "media" behaves the way it does. "One of the biggest names in our sport...may be retiring...but it's none of our business....and nobody should talk about it...BECAUSE".

Weird as hell.

I’m mainly a lurker, but just HAD to revisit this post with everything we know now.. even Mathes had to make an emergency podcast to cover for AC and belittle Cooksey at the time like all you vital geniuses..

Now that we all saw Adam say it himself when he got that podium, I just had to make some things clear..

Every one of you who criticized this thread and made fun of Cooksey/me for believing that AC9 considered retirement with his nerve damage (this is 100% true, go watch his interviews) I just want to know that you are an absolute mouth breather and have no ability for critical thought. Please revisit your comments in this thread and embrace that many of you look incredibly stupid/gatekeepy now. The natural reaction will be anger, but it’s okay to admit Cooksey had the scoop and that AC didn’t want it out back then. Your day will go on!

BTW it’s not critical thinking when we know that most folks, if not all consider retirement when injured, but if that is the ceiling of your elevator congrats again, it’s a step further than 1+1=2
