Seeing how he us in such good shape and more mature I'd bet he could podium at will in both SX and MX with some serious prep.

Kind of surprised he has not really ridden since 2017. Curious if we will ever see him at Loretta Lynn's someday?

Not ridden at all since 2017? That can't be true. Wasn't he on a Honda a little while back or am I totally remembering something else

Big Stewart fan, but I doubt that he would/could go at that level for 2 motos each Saturday. And age happens to everyone, whether we like it or not.

Just take a look at Reed who was at least able to run with Stewart in SX, and then understand that at least Reed kept riding enough to stay somewhat sharp.

Stewart was the fastest racer I’ve ever seen, but the key word is “was”.

As far as I know he rode a few times at his track. He talked of coming back but never did get it going.

No way. He might be able to do a lap. But not motos.

He was struggling in 2013-16 to keep up with the kids consistently.

We are 7-10 years on now.

Then look at guys like Osborne and villopoto. They have 2-3. Years off. Come back for a race and get whooped. They need 6 months of solid training to have a chance.

But addys are illegal.

It’s always easy to point out the bad troll

Extremely unlikely.  Not even Dungy could pull off a podium.... whom, compared to Stewart, has been on the bike waaaaay more post retirement, fit as hell, and four years younger.

I agree with you.  He was so spectacular in his prime, that it's easy to fall in the trap of thinking he can train some, come out, and be competitive.  But we saw him come back after an extented period of inactivity, and I was perplexed.  Anybody remember Benny Bloss?

I do think we will see him some time soon at Loretta's.  He said he plans on doing it, and I believe he will scratch that itch.   Maybe he's waiting for his boys to be a certain age.

Only last week Reedy was saying in an interview that he regularly offers Stew to come over for a ride, but he always declines. Stew may be a legend, however if he’s not even prepared to chuck a few laps for fun with mates, then he’s not laying the wood on anyone, anytime soon.

What is worse is he is wrong. You can take Adderall all day if you have a TUE.

The whole starting gate could do it with a TUE. So it is not illegal and allowed with an "okey dokey".

I have zero doubt he could still throw down a top 5 heater lap in qualifying. No way he podiums a race though

This has to be a light hearted "hey Bubba was the man" thread. He's so far removed from racing. It's disrespectful to the current field to suggest he could come near a podium even with prep.

His last attempt was I think 2016 and he couldn’t even get top ten so I’m not sure where this idea comes from.

Last time I saw him ride a bike was a few years ago at JS7 Ride Day and he looked like he had never ridden a bike before.

JS7 said if his kids ever get serious about making Loretta’s, he would too
