Chinese radiators??

The biggest problem with products coming out of China is the inconsistant quality. In the automotive collision industry we constantly have insurance companies demanding we use aftermarket parts. If the customer isn't willing to put up a fight with us or pay the difference for a new OEM part(depending how their policy is written) we reluctantly use some of them. Some of them actually look and fit decent, others are so far off it isn't funny. Welded components fall off in the box. Lenses fall off lamps or the light sockets don't fit the holes. Metals are not the same thicknesses, primers are not paintable over and the bonding adhesives that go between the top and undersides of hoods don't adhere leaving the hood fluttering down the highway and flopping when you open it. Really some piss poor quality coming from that side of the world.

On the other side, some of the most modern manufacturing facilities in the world are over there and capable of turning out some of the highest quality products ever. Just too damn inconsistant from one product to another.

X2, I'd be very careful. I spent three and a half years trying to manufacture motorcycle exhausts there....... it was a nightmare. I make evrything here now and can sleep at night knowing the quality of the parts are good and, most importantly, consistent.

worked fine for me till a handle bar went through them... but did int even leak after that but a lot better cooling then stock rads for sure. and only 200$ not bad at all. worked fine for me.

Hey, whatever floats your boat dude. I prefer to equip myself and my bike with good/quality equipment, but not everyone sees it that way. If savin a few bucks makes someone feel better than trusting thier equipment, then so be it.

The quality of Chinese metal seems to be suspect. You just never know when something is going to break. Maybe it holds, maybe it doesnt.

As a rule, if my life or safety depend on the part not breaking, I buy American. If my life is not endangered I go with whats cheapest yet still functions properly.

According to my customer who is a distributer for Chinese bikes. They actually use the machines that make the Honda's etc. He said the only reason they don't last is the metals. The metals are not clean, or purified very well he said, thus things break so easy. He said if the metals were clean, the bikes would be very good bikes.

Isn't most engine parts and most little quads and things made in china? and other places in south africa?

The Honda crf 150 and 230 are supposed to be made in China whereas the Yamaha TTR bikes are made in Brazil I believe.

The invention of the kick-starter is a little late getting to these countries I guess.

i just bought a bunch of partsOEM from Kawasaki for a KX125 I'm working on. all thirty three parts were made in taiwan.. the radiators come with a one year warranty.. does Honda warranty there hard parts??

No matter how mangled your old radiators are, these guys can fix them, fast and cheap. I’ve sent them a couple of radiators that I thought were toast and they sent em back in a few days, good as new.

Funny, he was spot on about how the big 4 were the reason for the lead law that screwed everything up this year. He has been spot on, on quite a few things that I have been told. As far as the bikes cheap metal. I've had a couple and can say they are crappy metal. They crack and break where good steel wouldn't. So prove what you say???

Would you people PLEASE look at the Manufacturers Label on these bikes BEFORE you go stating where they're made?

Honda and a few others make bikes in South America. Is that a bad thing?

Taiwan? Yes, a Democratic Country that pisses China off...and...also makes some good stuff.

Then there's Thailand and Malaysia. India's on the Horizon, too.

China? They get on my nerves.

I heard positive things about chinese radiators. The welding is high quality, but of course it's hard to evaluate the aluminium quality...
