I doubt it, I'm pretty sure Rainbow developed on PS3 then ported to 360. Untamed had some PS3 issues but Reflex seems to be fine. I don't know if you plan on playing any other games, but the PS3 also has Gran Turismo, Uncharted, etc.
Ok. Gran Turismo is cool, some say the games on X-box are better, like Forca Motorsport? But you get blue-ray and stuff with PS3!

I think I will follow your advice! Tnx again!

As soon as I can buy this game, I will get it along with a PS3. The new Full HD TV needs to be tested!

Also, is there a rider's perspective? That would be awesome along with the possibility to control tearoffs.

Its crazy how my friend who has never played untamed picked up the game and was awesome at it. While I had so many bad habits from Untamed it took me a full day to even come close

This is something we actually counted on. Smile For those saying that people that have never played will have a hard time, actually isn't the case in most situations. We tested this and people that don't have to unwire from our previous games pick it up in about 5 - 10 min as far as getting basic control. Those of you that have to unwire have the bigger challenge, but you will also get it, it is just a little tough to re-learn some things. It's pretty cool if you think about it. Kind of levels the playing field for once.

It comes down to personal preference. I have a 360 and PS3, and Forza 2 is a great game (I haven't bought Forza 3 yet), but GT has a level of polish you won't find anywhere else.

I'd suggest looking at the exclusive games for each console and see which you like best. Personally, I like the PS3 exclusives far more, both in terms of gameplay and graphics. Uncharted 2 is IMO the best console game to date. But check out on the PS3: Killzone 2, Uncharted 1&2, Gran Turismo, Metal Gear Solid 4, Resistance 1&2 etc. On the 360, look at: Halo 3, Gears of War 1&2, Forza 3, etc. See which ones you think you'll like more. 3rd party games are pretty much the same regardless of platform.

Just remember, the PS3 will cost less in the long run due to the price of Live, and the 360 doesn't come with built-in wifi.

My times are much better on the 250. I'm good for a 53 the first lap, and 55's after that. The 450 I think its a case of slowing down to go faster, and on either bike I leave the clutch alone.

You really do need to unlearn the untamed ways to be successful.

I got down to a 1:01 tonight.
I love it when I time the start perfectly and fully smoke everyone on the holey.
So fun.
Even though I'm not one of the fastest guys the gameplay is so much better than Untamed that even if your not winning it's still fun.

Is driving Forza or GT like being in a car? is Madden like being on the field? Come on.. no one said it was a life simulator. They just said it was better and closer to real life than most MX console games.

Either you are bummed that you can't just pull back on the stick and kick everybodies ass anymore or I don't know what but the gameplay is far better than Untamed to name just one.
How the heck does it make sense to pull back on the stick the whole time your racing? That's just silly.

Where did I say I just pull back on the stick? I'm talking about the physics are nothing like riding a real bike. You guys just seem hard up cause it's been 2 years since the last game!

yea ive quaded it, rail the outside and get as close as possible to the left yellow tire marker on the take off, it launches you and its almost impossible to stop and make the corner.

Haha, I'll give ya that. I hated the gameplay of Untamed and the last MX game I played and loved before was Carmichael 2002. So yeah my hating Untamed may have a little to do with why I love Reflex so much, finally an MX game is current that I enjoy playing again.

Yes, on both bikes. Hit it from the far left. I found you don't really need to rail the turn or jump before, just be smooth and run to the left. Scrubbing helps considerably.

Its funny mentioning the un-wiring Unleashed. I played the demo off and on over the weekend. Haven't touched Unleashed/Untamed whichever the last one was since Thursday, I am done with it for now. Today I made the most progress with the demo. I have to say the game has inspired me to ride; got on the bike twice this weekend and I enjoy the Reflex experience a lot more now. I had a solid year playing the last game almost daily. Over the weekend, I spent a lot of time in the lobby and then the national track. Smooth and easy is the real only way to tackle it. Soon you become comfortable with the controls and you start to have fun. Still looking forward to the game, mostly the Supercross tracks. I still feel the ruts in that national track are unrealistic, in a really bad way; knowing the ruts will be the same for everyone sorta evens it all out. I am finding buggy issue with the reflex controls. Sometimes it works to counter steer, same turn different race counter steering gives a different reaction so smooth and easy into each turn.

Honestly, I'm still struggling with the physics of this game. That reflex stick is way too sensative!!!! The more I play it, the more I get frustrated. Yes I'm improving my lap times and getting better at it, but that doesn't mean I like it yet. It is so unrealistic how you can barely touch the other riders and just go completely out of control. Even though it's ok for them to just blast you any time they want. Sometimes it seems like you just can't hold a straight line either.

Did I mention that when all I want to do is slight.y move my bike around in the air he throws the sickest whip and crashes his brains out.

I think his point was that the realism is a selling factor on the game when in fact. It is not that realistic at all. Just remember, we all want the game to evolve and be fun because we love playing these games. When you get touched by another player in Madden does your guy do flips and bounce off of objects in an unrealistic way? When you bump another driver in Forza does your car go into a barrel roll?

57.14 lap on the 450
58.64 on the 250F

I'm loving this new game. It takes awhile to come to terms with the new controller, but it seems to give you more control than you had before.

A couple other big tips to help, be gentle on the controls. Don't slam the sticks all the way over, roll them slower to where you want to go, and don't be afraid to tap to that direction and let go. When using the gas or the brakes, be a little slower on the trigger and it'll help you keep traction. And finally don't be afraid to coast.
