You really think Honda would do something to prevent one of their riders from winning a Championship?
Like a bunch of gossipy high school girls.
Chase was riding near 100% and jett was maybe 75%..
If it wasn't vs a team mate no.
I don't think Honda would sabotage chase.
But I would think the give jett more resources.

What about the blu cru semi, if Deegan keeps kicking all the veterans asses, will things stay civil?
I swear to god every time somebody competes with Jett for a whole moto/main event, we all hear the same "oh he wasn't trying, he could've beat him by 20 seconds if he wanted to". Or, maybe, if you've been following the sport for the past year, Sexton is really, really damn fast and was able to pace Jett for the whole moto? Do we not remember that this is the same guy that almost beat Tomac straight-up last summer?
If anybody thinks Jett was not riding as hard as he could you are smoking crack and blind. After he took his helmet off you can't hide what the whole world was privilege to.
Yeah makes total sense that a guy would choose to stay only a second or two in front of the guy behind him and leave himself open to getting beat with the slightest bobble when he could just pull away if he wanted to..... that's what I'd do. Why lead by more than absolutely necessary? I also prefer to let my only real competition know that he's this close to me when I could put him to shame by just going a little harder. All makes total sense.
You mean when he wasn't out of breath and had a drink of water?
Maybe I have my Aussie rose colored glasses on but you make it sound like he was bent over gasping like a pack a day smoker.
Some interest poll data. While the Vitards likely have it wrong. A significant amount of folks think something is likely to happen. Enough so that the probability of something happening goes way up. Just sayin'.

Personally I’d like to see the drama stay on the track and that’s it. Race hard, race clean, be respectful after the race. Much like ET and Chase did last season. It’s almost like some “race fans” want WWE type drama infused with MX.
Ricky always says it's easier to follow then set the pace.
I don't know if it was the track. But the lead jett maintained was enough that chase didn't have a single attempt at a pass. Jett never had to shut the door on chase or block him once. Normally when riders are pretty close the guy behind has a few attacking opportunities but chase never had 1.
so much negativity in this thread its unbelievable, what is wrong with you guys???
you are giving no credit to Lars at all as a team manager (and even less to the riders, especially Jett)
He was in a zone, you could see his demeanour when he pulled the last tear off. James mentioned it and there needs to be a word for it. He put his bike on the stand and walked to the tent to decompress.
Yeah, he was so much in the zone he dropped a 2:29 on the second from last lap and won by 1 second. There is a word for it and it's called Fanboy. I have nothing against Chase or Jett but what are you folks looking at? What is going to happen when Chase in in the zone? James pushes a lot of hot air and is not nearly as good without RC. Laurel without Hardee...
Chase rode the hardest, and best, I've ever seen in moto 2; better than at any time last year.
He still could not get into range, much less pull the trigger.
Jett might have hit neutral in that hole where he lost time, but was in no way crashing.
Chase nearly went down big time late race. James caught that mistake too; he trained him and doesn't miss a thing.
Fanboy? More like objective commenter.
You are a poster child Bro.

What do you mean?
Last year I remember seeing both Jet and Hunter not super happy with each other and nothing happened then. Hunter got some moto wins over Jett and was a main competitor. I know not to the extent of Chase and Eli last year. But I would think that if there was going to be an issue it would have happened with his brother before happening with somebody else. I think that Jett might get frustrated if he gets beat. But I think its just because he wants to win so badly , like many of the guys who have won so many time before him. It doesn't seem like he has had any issue with the rider who has beat him in the past. Just gets mad at himself.
Maybe Jett had a little or a lot more speed. Who knows. He might have been going as fast as he felt was safe to go while staying in front far enough that he was just out of reach for a pass. If he was only riding at 75% , maybe he didn't want to give Chase the answer to how fast he needs to go to be able to beat him? Or maybe Jett was riding as fast as he could go and just beat Chase by just enough.
All these years later, those wins by RC of 45 seconds or a minute look just the same in record books as Eli's wins by less than a second. A win by 1 second or 35 seconds still pays the same points. But the 35 second lead might also bring some extra risk by riding closer to the limit, and also showing your cards. Chase is one of the most determined racers and seems to want to win so badly that he will do whatever it takes. I think that if Jett beat him by 30 seconds it would not do anything to make Chase want it any less, or feel any less like he could win. It might make Chase work harder to find the second or 2 per lap needed to get up to Jett . And make it Harder on Jett to keep wining.
Either way it was fun to watch ,and should be a good summer of racing. I am a fan of Jett , how smooth and precise he rides. But I hope that Chase and he have some good battles and nobody runs away with the title. Maybe Dylan can get in there as he gets more comfortable .
If Chase was upset that Jett celebrated winning his first 450 race, then that sounds like a Chase problem.
Yeah, I didn't see that.
Not sure what he's referring.
This. He held it together for 30+2 without ever having more than 2 seconds on Chase.
Step 1: Boom makes a valid argument with facts and a reasonable prediction.
Step 2: Vital gives him 26 downvotes.
"reasonable"? Has a factory team ever benched a championship contender because they didn't want them to win?
I mean you didn't see Chase's nasty practice high-side or watch the post race interview but but you come here and claim it was the best he ever rode. Get real.
You seem quite angry.
I saw the interview post race and he pointed at some bark off his arm, didn't say anything about being concussed.
I did see Jett look back to Chase as if to say, "is that all you got bro?" but he may have been gap checking, which is what he offered in the presser.
Objective commenter....Now that is the funniest thing I've read in quite some time...I believe you spelled subjective wrong...
Jett just finished a half season of shorter races on a lighter bike, he should be in better form and have better energy. Wait until round 6 or so when the fatigue of riding the 450 wears Jett down, that’s when we start seeing how strong they really are. And that’s when the head games in the semi get traction..
So the 450 will only wear Jett down, not Chase?
