Is Jett the exception ๐ Flame away ๐๐
No championships his rookie year and he only has 14 250 outdoor wins. Thatโs way lower than the generational talent Iโm used to seeing, Hope he can get those 450 numbers up.
Dang itโs been a slow fishing day! ๐
When you move to 450s at 19 you probably won't have the most 250 wins
James was younger(19 yrs and 2 weeks) than Jett when he moved up in 2005 and he has 28 125/250 outdoor wins. If James had a 450 in 2005 for the outdoors, I believe he wouldโve had a few more wins as well.
James moved to 450s at 19 and has the most 125/250 wins. There, I fixed it for you to make it a true statement. ๐๐

Dork? Now youโve gone and hurt my feelings ๐ ๐ ๐ข
So if you donโt have better stats than the best small bore racer ever, you canโt be generational talent?

Insecurities bring out the stupid in people don't they?
Dungey only had 8 250SX wins and one title, and 7 250MX wins and a title from two years in the 250 class.
Actually, his first two years, he won no championships. Won both SX and MX his third and final year on the 250.
RV didnโt win one in 09.
RV was a rookie in 06 and he won the 250 outdoor title.
Oh my bad, thought he was talking 450 rookie. I canโt read.
I really thought off season was over already..
MC had 72 SX wins....RC had 15 combined championships neither record includes 125/250 SX so at this point Jett is at 0 SX wins and two championships and one outdoor 450 win...he is extremely talented but he has a long way to go before he even enters any comparable conversation....You all need to cool your jets....pun intended...
Couldnโt agree more, and we named our cat Jett 3 months ago when we got him. This will be one hell of a summer in 450s barring injury
What time does deegan race ?
Jett shouldn't be compared to any one.. he is making his own history and creating his own path. Hate him or love him, support other riders, but he is the future and the Now of our sport.
I mean the kid just went 1-1 in his 450 debut at 19?
- Only the fourth rider to win both East and West regionsโ 125/250SX championships;
- Joined James Stewart as the only riders to win both regions and two AMA Pro MX crowns;
- Become only the fourth rider to win four AMA 125/250 professional titles (the other three: Ricky Carmichael, James Stewart and Ryan Villopoto);
- The winningest AMA 125/250 SX/MX rider in Hondaโs history, with 26 victories across the two series

You are correct Jett shouldnโt be compared to anyoneโฆyet the majority of the numbers you show actually donโt count in the record booksโฆMCโs 72 wins in SX are just the 250/450 classโฆJett has zeroโฆRC has 15 championships and Jett has twoโฆwe need to slow the roll on Jett until he actually accomplishes something and then we can have the comparative conversation, but we are years away from thatโฆ
James is also universally recognized as the best lites rider of all time.
How do you bring into the equation winning races on 3 different continents before turning 20 and moving to a different continent twice before turning 15?
What exactly are you reaching for here?
Post a reply to: Most generational talent wins at least one championship their rookie year.
