If Mike Bell was still alive he'd take offense to that statement.

So many threads start like

this and have the other half of the text in the first post.

Mostly done by the same guy who started this one.  I guess he doesn't have enough confidence he is starting an interesting topic, so he has to make it click-baity.

Can you guys explain how/why this thread title hurts you?

Its really no big deal.🤷‍♀️

The purpose of a thread title is describe the topic that will be discussed.  That way I can easily choose which threads I want to read or not.  But if people make thread titles that do a poor job of describing the topic, then I have to click them to see if it's a topic I want to read or not.

So why not give useful titles so we can click when appropriate?

MAX, not calling him maximus, won’t even top 5 a moto this year, let alone an OA. Stamp it.

nice kid, but he doesn’t have it.

I agree, Max is a tad over rated.

Yup. Got the ride from his dads legacy. Talon’s plan hasn’t pan’d out (sorry to break it to his friends)

They constantly remind us of his lineage when ever he is on camera... YES we know he is part of a racing family...blah blah

What do you consider tall?

A 6'4" male in the US is in the 99.55 percentile. Given that the sport of motocross is relatively new, and that taller athletes are often ushered into much more popular / lucrative sports, there simply haven't been enough tall riders yet to make that judgement.

Interestingly, the same was thought about the 100m sprint, that tall people could never be great at it, and then Usain Bolt came along.

6'1+. This is about gravity and easiest way to move on the bike when your around 5'11 or less. I disagree about Bolt. May be a disadvantage at the start but I think his longs legs were a big advantage on the last 50% of the sprint. I think tall riders struggle a little bit more with mobility on the bike in tight corner for exemple. They probably fatigue faster. They have also some similarities about their riding style. Better to be small than tall in MX in my humble opinion.

I think the Vohland family are great people but I think Max is on his way out. I know I know, hes young. But how many guys straight up miss multiple mains each year and turn out to be great. I think KTM is his last factory ride. Too much talent in the class and Roger isnt afraid to hurt feelings for results. Hopefully I am wrong cause he seems like a good kid but just my uneducated opinion

I think Max will do well on the Star Yamaha next year. This year, I think he will try to prove a point and surprise some people.

If ya'll can imagine David Caruso putting on his sunglasses between reading the titles and the end of the sentence in the OP, it makes it much more bearable.

Glasses off.......... "That bobby myers guy"

(pause to put shades on)

Glasses on........"is the definition of a Vitard"

Seriously though

People who use titles like the one for this discussion either must sit at home all day reading clickbait or work for somebody producing that crap.

My old login was put out to pasture or as I like to say "inducted into the hall of fame " so I had to make a different and new login. And no this isn't Bobby Moore(another norcal badass). 😎👍
