What a depressing ending. One more top level rider (Roczen) falls to the meat grinder.
The 250 main pretty much summed up what a drag watching the 250s was all year.
So tired of hearing Chase "deserved it", "earned it" and "in it to win it". Sorry man, it was gifted. ...he and everyone knows it.
The stadium was empty when Chase took the trophy....sounded like no cheers. I heard more cheers for AP.
3 WSX riders in the top 6, without Roczen
Get over it. Chase is the 2023 champ.
As a long time Eli fan, I will be rooting heavy for Chase to continue his success. He reminds me a lot of younger Tomac and I absolutely think he has the skills, fitness, and mindset to have a similarly successful career. He will probably have his hands full with Jett (and perhaps a few more years of Webb as an SX competitor), but, at the same time, I think in a few seasons we will also see a more shallow field, and Sexton, Jett, and potentially Hunter could rule the 450 class for a few years before another generation comes up.

Could happen. Deegan gives me hope. That dude is not intimidated.
Is Sexton not doing the press conference? Or are they gonna do the 3 Honda boys?
Jett's gotta be kinda bummed not getting to race like 7 of the best 450 guys. Whether he would or wouldn't have beat them, it's always a dream to race the fastest guys.

Chase is an absolute monster but I think he'll learn some french words this summer.
I agree. The only one to slow down the injuries is less rounds. It's rarely the obstacles....Webb, Roczen, Anderson, Tomac, and others were in corners or the transition of a jump they do 200 times a race weekend. It's not the 450's as just as many or more 250 guys get hurt. The only thing left is the crazy schedule and these guys try to train through the week to gain every tenth of a second. I doubt the schedule will change, but I really think they simply need more recovery time.....and less laps will inevitably mean fewer injuries.
The stadium was empty because it was cold as hell, windy, and trying to rain again. I was there and couldn't wait to leave, but that had nothing to do with not wanting to cheer for Chase. The last three races have been a complete bummer, but he has been the fastest guy all year and deserves it as much as anyone
Heard some guys talking about it so went and looked. Deegan jumped on a red cross flag when the others rolled hunter was right behind him and rolled.
This was coming up on the flag.
Security people were forcing us out earlier than normal, I was told to leave the area 3 different times by the same security guy but I was determined to see this...
Man all I hear is bitching and moaning about lapping people up to wherever!
You actually realise how fast these dudes are that are getting lapped!
I’d pick if would be less than 1% of vital members could make a SX main.
Congrats to Chase!! Not my favourite rider but hands down one of the fastest all season.
KTM enjoy the numero uno plate next season…
Zero . Zero could make a main.
If Starling and Chizz didn’t comment here occasionally it would be 0%. However élite level ability doesn’t overrule the ability to have an opinion…..
I never tire of watching these guys do what they do. Doesn’t matter who’s in or out, who’s ripping or who’s lapping. Another champ was named today, a piece of moto history was made. Congrats Chase.
I'm the downvote. Gifted title imo. Here's hoping Dylan cleans house in the Nationals this summer.
So tired of hearing Chase "deserved it", "earned it" and "in it to win it". There is a very real reason why these phrases are on repeat. If you have to keep saying it …
Put it this way, would you say Tomac lost the title due to injury or Sexton won it because he was the best racer this year?
The answer explains a lot about the climactic or anticlimactic finale.
Anyway, Last night’s event was a drag. I’m glad it’s over. Moving on ….
Pit Row
Yep, bring on WSX
I wasn't too impressed with salt lake as a whole. Getting into fan fest for qualifying was an absolute buzzkill. 7 gates down to 2 and well over an hour, not ideal..
The audio in the stadium was 25 decibels too high and distorted beyond belief.
Food was decent overall
Getting to the pits was gong show like..
Track was good for the floor space and dirt.
We bailed out after the 2nd downpour and took an Uber back to motel and watched on the TV. No where to really get out of the rain.
Overall rating : 4.9
Just re watching the race back and the Lawrence brother narrative they’re pushing is intolerable. RJ went full send the first lap and all they talked about was Jett’s start. It’s like trying to watch the news
It's the Lawrences ability, and results, that drives the story.
As their Dad says to level it, all someone has to do is step up and beat them.
RJ has been getting massive positive coverage.
Not the biopic stuff, but plenty of recognition. Jeez, we had Will Christian telling us his baby stories during the night show.
Importantly for him going forward, one of the wise men in the booth said he has smoothed and improved while racing Jett hard.
Really surprised HRC didn’t “order” Hunter to stay between Max and Deegan. A Honda 1-2 East Coast final standings could have meant a little more than Hunter moving up one spot. Yes, Max wasn’t making it easy to remain in trail, and maybe Hunter thought Deegan was closing. Oh, well…
He also passed that kawi. Amazing what they let him get away with.
WSX: Phew...
There are a few ex pros on here haha.
