My first new bike!! Still in love with it. First 80 with big boy forks!!
My first new bike too, 94 though.
This bike was so sweet!
30 years old. Style still looks freshly minted.
It's amazing how many bike intros have been done at Washougal.

The dream bike that I couldn't afford in 93 but I have now
thanks blaze!
Strictly speaking the KX80-II was the first 80cc with USDs in 1992. (Although yes, it was a ‘big’ wheeled model)
Yea and I believe kawasaki got those inverted forks off a bike we never got. Kdx 125
I remember borrowing one at a race meeting in 94 when my kx 80 seized. Felt like it had a banana shape seat and high bars at the time, but it went pretty good!
I won't miss those color combos....
Motocross Heaven.
I don't think so. Kdx 125 are 41mm like 93-94 kdx 200.
I believe KX80 inverted forks including BW were 36mm
I think they look cool and I hope that Yamaha does a throwback theme with that color scheme at one of the nationals this year. Silver wheels and all.
Similar to what they did with the yellow scheme in 2005 and 2015 to celebrate their 50th and 60th anniversary.
