I have a 23 Ktm and I noticed the map switch is freaking out. The maps won’t change and it’s stuck in the white mode. The TC icon is flashing and the Quick Shift light is off and won’t engage. Any ideas?
I took the switch apart and checked connections and looked for any any apparent issues. I found nothing and put it back together with the same issues. Anyone know of a reset or any ideas? Thank you…….
Either the switch is defective or check your OBD diagnostic plug under the seat... if there is water inside it can give you troubles like this. A friend of mine had the same "light show" on his 300 SX...
OBD plug huh. Not sure what that is but I will check the connections under the seat.
I forgot to add the TC switch is on at the start of the moto but when I pull off it’s blinking. Not sure at what point it goes from solid to blinking but it did this all day. Solid to start then blinking
What model? I think you have the four stroke but it would be helpful. The ODB port is under the seat and should plug into a cap/holder.

Also check all the small wires behind the number plate and trace the wires from the handlebars back under the tank, etc. Sometimes just a small rubbed or broken wire can make everything fritz out.
Thank you for the help. I have traced everything and can’t seem to find any glaring issues. I will keep digging and post if I find anything. I did take most connections apart and am currently let everything air dry just in case that might be it.
I had mine act strange, had to take to dealer and they reset, refreshed, whatever, and it now works correctly. They said something about it "losing" the data
Did you take the bike in or just the switch and CDI box? Ya I tried to dry mine, checked everything, dielectric greased everything and same result. Bugs out with no QS available. TC flashes however it does alllow me to change maps now. Strange…
Any update on the cause of this? My bike has been doing the exact same thing. Randomly switches back and forth. TC flashes.
It’s now getting to the point the bike will stall when maps changing (even while riding - under throttle).
move checked connections and moisture with no luck. Took the cables off the battery for the night also. No luck there.
So i had mine checked by the dealer and said it was good. Well it wasnt. I ended up replacing the switch and all is good now. It is an expensive switch however and with the cost of it i relocated the unit to behind the front number plate. I can still reach it and adjust it without removing anything and its much less likley to get damaged. Thats just me and how i fixed the issue. Another easy test is just find someone else with a new KTM and unplug thier unit and plug it inton yours and vise versa. The wire is plenty long to reach without removing hardly anything... best of luck to you. Love to hear your solution once you find it.
The start/stop switch can also lose it's mind and randomly fire up the starter or kill the engine while riding. There is a kit available to switch back to the old separate stop/start buttons.
