I’m not one to leave a review however, ventilation was an issue for sure, event staff was absolutely trash and didn’t have a fuckin clue what was going on, the pits had trash everywhere and it was way to small for that many people. Not a good look for the Moto industry. Anaheim has it down pat, take some notes AZ.
It’s crazy your getting downvoted for describing just about every big Corp in the US.
They gonna go right on not giving a shit about stuff like this happening until it starts hurting their money.
Brought to you by renegade racing fuels.
I wonder if this has been brought to anyone's attention that might be able to do something about it.
Maybe send this thread to a local news station?

Does the venue charge a promoter to open the roof... ?
That's not really the way to go on this. All we need is some liberal reporter starting shit about how dangerous our sport is for the spectators. Then you get a lot of Attorney seeking leeches wanting compensation for their severe health conditions caused by them being there. All of a sudden there are tons of lawsuits that will not be good for the sport besides the leeches and Ambulance chasing lawyers that made bank off of it.
Maybe this should be an awakening to Feld for what could possibly happen. In other words, get your f'n heads out of your asses before you get sued and tarnish SX forever.
A couple of days. And I agree about contacting Feld. These recurring issues need to be addressed as you can’t have families dealing with these issues.
Agreed. This doesn't need to get blown out of proportion, but also shouldn't be dismissed by Feld as a non-issue. Figure out what caused the irritation and figure out how to prevent it from happening at future races.
This wasn't a good experience, but in the grand scheme of things I haven't heard of any bad outcomes aside from some irritation and congestion. While people are justified in being upset (thinking of people who's kids/spouse affected, job interview affected because of red-eyes, etc) I think making a scene without giving Feld the change to fix what seems to be a easily preventable issue is the wrong approach.
As I mentioned earlier, I was there with a group and we all experienced significant symptoms. This isn't exactly a mystery: fireworks + exhaust indoors = hazardous air quality.
I do, however, believe it has much more to do with fireworks than motorcycle exhaust. Like others here, I've been attending closed-roof SX races for over 20 years, and the only real difference between the closed roof races nowadays vs. before is the stupid firework show they feel is necessary to conduct INDOORS (by all means let it rip in an open air stadium). I, nor anyone I've attended races with in the past have experiencing these symptoms indoors when the fireworks show was a thing.
If anyone here remembers the King Dome races, that place was hot boxed with 2T smoke and most people just left with mild irritation at worst. But, no fireworks...
Here’s a link if anyone wants to send a message to Feld regarding this.
https://www.feldentertainment.com/customer-service/
My wife and I sent pretty lengthy messages and I hope others have or will as well.
We are both almost back to 100% 3 days later, and I don’t feel like there will be any major long-term effects, but I hope those responsible are made fully aware of the scope of the problem. Causing easily preventable illness, pain and discomfort for hundreds or potentially thousands of people is negligence and must be taken seriously.
This is Deja Vu....
This happen somewhere else within the last couple years, I remember the thread. Which supercross was it?
You're probably onto something. Some of these new race fuels stink so bad you can't even have them in a garage that shares a wall with your house.
A spec fuel could potentially solve this and level the playing field for privateers a little more. *flame away*
Minneapolis last year I think
There’s a monster jam this weekend there, would be interesting to see if they have the roof open.
I would think that the venue is partially responsible as well.
Open the roof, and bring fresh air in from the huge opening where the grass gets rolled in.
I don't think that's Feld's responsibility.
Going to it, will keep you posted.
I didn't have any issues and none of my group said anything. But theres enough people complaining on here that has to be something.
my eyes are still messed up on Tuesday, my niece just called me to let me know that she went to urgent care today and was diagnosed and treated for chemical burns to her eyes and nose, she was getting nose bleeds
Damn man that looks painful.
Pit Row
Whatever this was hit me hard. Left before the last 2 races having a hard time getting a breathe. Was running a fever by the time I got home. Eyes still bloodshot today.
Wow that looks painful. Mine are probably 90% recovered, just some redness. We were in 136 (by the under/over tunnel). Curious, where were you guys seated?
I also noticed the haze immediately after the fireworks that never cleared. Could be something in the dirt/dust (lime or something else added?) or from exhaust. Who knows
These bikes run really rich with oxygenated fuel + a lot of transients so you get all sorts of partial combustion byproducts. CO, HC, and NOx are the classic one most people know about, but you also get things like ammonia, and formaldehyde that are irritants. Plus whatever unburned fuel passes through the engine is aerosolized and suspended in the air.
I'll be curious to see what they find (if we ever find out).
Same problem we had at Minneapolis last year. 90% of the attendees had red burning eyes, and smoke inhalation lung problems. A few people went to the hospital for it. But Feld and US Bank Stadium claimed there was no issues.

We were club level section 201, row 1, seats 1-2. I just rewatched parts of the racing on peacock and wow, the smoke and haze that lingers in the stadium is considerable. That’s not pollen or dust.
we were 410
I said the same thing when I watched it on Peacock, I get keeping the almost closed during the since this always a dry and slippery track and their trying to keep moisture in the track, but soon as the sun went down they should have opened it all the way
I would have guessed 420.
my gf and i were there as well section 115 right at the first corner and remember saying the race gas fumes were pungent just walking into the stadium and noticed everyones eyes were totally cooked as we were leaveing. All day sunday into monday our eyes were beet red and sinuses leaking like a chevy. cost us a day of work, will be interesting to see what Feld will do about this.
All Electric by 2025...problem solved!
Feld and the Stadium will not acknowledge any problem since it will be admitting something was wrong and there was a problem. I'm sure their corporate lawyers are telling them to keep quiet.
you know i wouldnt be the least bit surprised if this is all by design to intentionally get people sick at these events to push E-bikes into the sport. all they had to do was open the stadium.
It had never happened before in the history of sx until minneapolis last year. Feld released a run of the mill “nothing to see here” report and since then ppl had kinda forgot about it and it seemed like just a fluke thing that hadnt happened before and wont again.
Since then every race has been completely fine until all of a sudden it happened again last week. Same exact symptoms unanimously across dozens of ppl on this forum alone. At this point a pattern is starting to arise as to where this isnt just some weirdo one off thing anymore. Its important that moving forward ppl are ensured that this is never going to happen again.
