I guess you are an expert on Teddy and his times.
Everyone was happy under Obama because the media, the universities, and Hollywood were happy with Obama and his Bush designed bailouts, shovel ready jobs, failures in Afghanistan, attacks on the media, increased taxes, threatening Ukrainian officials, loss of Crimea, and expanded wars.
There are countless media, university, and Hollywood derived Trump scandals. Name one that was real.
If that’s why you like Obama and not Trump, it says quite a bit about you and not Trump.
So, I’m wondering about your poll. When you end it and Trump is ahead, will we all go to bed with Trump in the lead but wake up to Trump losing?
Irregularities?
He deregulated the rail industry leading to reduced safety and the train crash in East Palestine.
Wait, that was actually Obama. Screw it, just run with Trump because Trump sucks.

It just baffles me when I read about how huge corporations pay little to no taxes. Yes I know they they contribute by employment, wages, sales, etc. But still, being able to evade all taxes of profits just blows my mind.
Oh, my bad.......um....FJB!
Oh yeah! Now I feel like one of the gang!
Even if they pay taxes, they don’t really pay taxes. They add it to the cost of goods and just pass it along to the consumer like any other business expense. So if you are for raising taxes on corporations, you are for raising the cost of goods you buy. Watch what you ask for, you just might get it. The real problem is a bloated government.
Trump repealed a rule implemented by the Obama administration that required trains carrying hazardous cargo to be equipped with electronically controlled pneumatic brakes. That is a fact.
The Norfolk Southern train that derailed wasn't categorised as carrying 'high-hazard' material, so the rule didn't apply to that particular train, whether it had been repealed or not.
Yes, I agree. I'm so pleased with how prices have stayed so stable with all the loopholes in place and nothing ever gets more expensive. Record corporates profits have done wonders to keep pricing down.
That’s a common myth. It’s an argument made by billionaires and millionaires to make it sound like they care about you. Let me explain to you what actually happens.
Hypothetical example:
Let’s say the corporate tax rate is 10% and the cost of whatever good Amazon is selling is 30 dollars. Walmart, with the same tax rate, is also selling the same item for 30 dollars. New tax laws are passed and the corporate taxes are raised to 15%. Amazon decides they’re gonna pass those profits onto the consumer and they raise their price of the item to 35 dollars. Walmart holds true at 30. The consumer base that was split between the two now skews much more heavily to Walmart. Walmart would rather sell 100 of the item at 30 dollars than 50 of the item at 35 dollars. These massive corporations are still competing with each other to get your business, which means they’re both not going to raise their prices way up to compensate. Furthermore, that revenue gained from them paying a fair share of taxes can be used for tons of infrastructure projects or whatever else that needs to be done, which itself creates tons of high paying jobs for middle class Americans.
You need to work this through a couple more times and take another crack at it.
I’d love to hear your counter arguments, which is something I get about 1 out of 100 times on this ultra far right conservative site.
Prices going up has nothing to do with corporate tax rates.
its supply issues (government shutting the world down for covid)
it’s over supply of money (governments printing trillions of dollars)
it’s the fed keeping rates artificially low for way to long (a quasi government agency).
So don’t blame corporations for inflation…blame government. Is it possible for the cause of the problem to also be the solution?
What “huge” corporations aren’t paying any taxes?
Corporations pay payroll taxes on every penny they pay their employees. Corporations pay sales tax on anything they buy. Corporations pay property taxes on any real property they own. And all corporations pay income taxes on any profits. There are many types of taxes…
So what kind of taxes are you talking about, that “huge” corporations don’t pay?
(I will acknowledge that small businesses can often show a loss on their taxes-after writing off all expenses-to the point they get a refund from the government that could, potentially, be greater than all taxes they pay…but no way a “huge” corporation could do that.)
You're funny.
So if the collective isn't pro Biden and "we" point out flaws in what his administration is doing then we must be Super Ultra Mega Maga far right extremists types?
I could throw out some silly labels toward you but that would be.....well , silly.
Sincerely,
Registered independent who voted for Obama and Trump.
My counter argument is that what you posted doesn't make logical sense. You seem to not know the difference between a business expense and profit.
If anyone still supports Trump, after everything he’s done, after all his extremely far right rhetoric, actions, and policies, yes you’re far right. And many here on this site seem to support him, with some even calling him one of the best we have ever had. McCain and Romney were considered very conservative 10 years ago and they are now considered RINOS (well, were in McCain’s case. RIP). What does that tell you? There’s a lot to criticize Biden for. Do it! That’s not what makes this site ultra far right. Many from each side of the aisle criticize him and his policies.
Pit Row
Well you almost understand. You started off with a good explanation of how capitalism works and how competition is good for the consumer. You lost all credibility when you went down the path if thinking government can spend the money more wisely than the private sector. Leave the money in the private sector, let them grow their businesses with it and create jobs. You are mixed up in thinking corporations are greedy. Government is greedy.
Well if you ever have a real counter argument to what I said, let me know! I’ll be waiting.
Ah, my bad, I did misread the last line of your post...I saw "being able to evade all taxes" and jumped to conclusions and ignored "of profits".
Corps aren't greedy?
Since you won’t do any of the work I’ll do it for you. There are 336 million Americans. It appears that Republicans can’t be dating all of these people in order to commit violence against them, and the epidemic of rising crimes against them is pretty small.
It appears Republicans may not be committing much if any of the violence against LGTBQ PEOPLE.
From MAR, 2023, with updated and the most complete FBI hate crimes reporting to date the following statistics are reported for 2021:

You are free not to do business with a corporation. With government you do not have a choice. I am glad to clear that up for you.
And what does that have to do with greed? You can't be serious that corps are not greedy. Both are extremely greedy.
No... I get an inside look at price setting. We're simply making more money. In some part yeah, it's on the companies lol. Meanwhile normal folks are seeing their commodities bills quadruple or more. Merica baby
The UCLA report said there was 22 transgender/ gender non conforming deaths in 2021 but that violent killings of black trans women may be five times higher than the general population.
That’s a significant figure. And, who’s doing it? It isn’t white religious Republicans.
Awesome.
Again which one of his policies did the most damage to you personally?
