I looked and didn’t see a split section like this on any other tracks this year. Sure there’s always different rhythms through sections but I don’t remember seeing one like this where The obstacles have different spacing on one side of the track versus the other. What a you guys think ? What if the fast way is to start on one side and cross over to the other ? 54393DC0-036A-42F6-9439-80C60DF63607

You should put in an "all the above" choice.

You must have never watched the epic GoPro video of JS7 Toronto 2014 SX if you haven’t ever seen this before.

That looks like a wider lane with tough blocks separating the 2 sides ?

These never work out where they are the same speed.

they won’t be allowed to cross sections would be my guess but one side will definitely end up faster as usual.

I like the split lane idea, I think it’s something cool and different. But yeah, one line pretty much always ends up faster in the end

Maybe it would be more dynamic if it were on a track that broke down a lot like Indy?

Better idea: make the entire track sand and only have one dirt section.

They used to have these lanes often back in like villopoto days.

It will be slightly wider then the track map looks.

It will have tough blocks down the middle.

And switching lanes won't be allowed.

You got one thing right...off weekends do suck but as far as the split section is concerned, I like it. One side may start off faster until it breaks down...not sure what Glendale's dirt will be like but if the faster lane cups out with ruts riders will search around. I'm all for it. A creative rider can make some magic there.

Remember Anstie how hepulled a gem in a split S section in one of the outdoors by hopping across the center.

They’ll just use the GET data to figure out which lane is faster. Maybe the track breaks down throughout the race and the line changes, we can only hope.

Always looks good on paper and it ends up making the track half the width because one side becomes faster…

The best track always seem to be the one that have the least amount of non-180 degree turns and have long rhythm/whoops sections…

2013 Minneapolis Dungey Villopoto. Split lane, imo, was the deciding factor in a great race. It was enough that it caused a pass on Villopoto and imo it helped create a great finish to the race for a few laps. I have no issues with split lanes.

Hard to say Glendale won’t be the same at this point. The reality of the track never 100% follows the rendering.
