Sharon Davies, a British ex-Olympic Swimmer, has been very vocal about not allowing trans-women to compete in women's sport. Martina Navratilova also.

I lean left of centre - which by American standards means I'm a frothing, cross-dressing, woke, libtard communist/marxist - and I agree with both of them. Most sensible people would, surely?

I respect a person’s right to live any way that feels authentic and comfortable to them and don't agree that a trans person should be persecuted, but I'll admit that I find them strange. I don't agree with disrupting the interests of the majority to accommodate the demands of such a minuscule percentage of the human race and I don't believe we should be platforming the trans issue the way it has been. Neither should we over sensationalise and obsess over it either.

In my opinion half the reason it feels like a big issue is because WAY too much fuss is made about it, on both sides.

I 100% believe this agenda being pushed is a bunch of BS and have no idea where it's coming from. It's the reason I posted this question in the first place.

I don't believe for one second that any adult, halfway intelligent, non mentally ill person actually believes a biological man can become a woman and vice versa. But this is the shit we are being pushed to believe. Fucking poop periods and men having babies, scientists testifying they can't define what a woman is in front of congress. 

I may be wrong about this as I have not read through every post in this thread. I don't think one single person that typically leans to, what I would consider, far left/liberal/woke(the side primarily pushing this agenda) has directly answered my purposefully vague, what "should" be ridiculous question. A lot of deflection and "why would you even ask" type BS.

I don't care what you do with your private parts in private if you are a consenting human capable of making those decisions. If you are trans, straight, gay, WTF ever. You deserve life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. You should not be persecuted.

Promoting humans can change their biological gender when they cannot. Then proceed to try to force everyone to believe it...  And celebrate it as some brave thing to do. You done lost your mind!

It’s a money grab. Real women don’t hv rights in America. I had countless women say there getting beaten . Some moved 2 states away & it’s still not far enough. They ask me if I could or knew another driver who could give him a beat down.  If the guys r ex military it’s very difficult for the women to get any help. So real women r silenced. I hv a extended family member that was a preacher.councilor in the military. They where molested as children that’s why there screwed up.

I respect a person’s right to live any way that feels authentic and comfortable to them and don't agree that a trans person should be persecuted, but I'll admit that I find them strange. I don't agree with disrupting the interests of the majority to accommodate the demands of such a minuscule percentage of the human race and I don't believe we should be platforming the trans issue the way it has been. Neither should we over sensationalise and obsess over it either.

In my opinion half the reason it feels like a big issue is because WAY too much fuss is made about it, on both sides.

Well I agree with most of what you wrote except the last sentence. 

I have found that by and large America has been tolerant of adult people going trans.

 

It wasn't until the movement went for minors in the schools and promoted drag shows for kids in the library type stuff that you started to see pushback.

 

I see no need to hyper sexualize and confuse minors. 

These days they call that  being Transphobic!

I call them mentally ill for doing this stuff to kids and laughing about it.

I don't want my young children going to any kind of sexualized show. Be it drag, bi, straight, gay, lesbian etc...

Your last sentence is not the way I see it at all. This wasn't a BIG thing until recently and was not started because "conservatives" want to persecute  trans peeps. This started blowing up when the far left/liberal/woke side started trying to force crazy, nonsensical ideas.

Let's just say when a science teacher cannot or will not explain what a girl/woman/female is that's a problem. Whether out of fear of retribution or just pushing an agenda it's wrong. 

You are incorrect that this agenda is not being pushed onto people. I have experienced it first hand.
