When he oversteered and went off track before the dragons back while chasing Martin. If he were to get back on track near where he exited, there would have been a decent gap between them, which I feel should happen when you make a mistake and go off track. Instead, he accelerated down the side to the next turn and got right back on Martin's rear tire. Probably gave him a slight breather too.
Anyone else catch it? Penalty worthy? What was the gap to Martin at the finish; would it have made a difference? Seemed iffy to me.
And if he reentered and got landed on we would talk about how horrible his track awareness is.
It just depends on how many Instagram followers you have.
I didn't pay close attention to it but he left the track in futures behind someone then resumed infront and nothing happend. Hopefully no one forgets the mini os incident either. It's deegan don't question it or you're a jealous hater hating on a 10 year old kid.
It did seem like it gave him an advantage because he would have lost a significant chunk of time had he not gassed it off track and back on to the track. Did it give him an unfair advantage? Yes. Did it change the final result? Probably not.

HD238 sounds like a computer adapter. It’s DangerBoy!
Searching
Wondered this as well last night. He definitely accelerated while off track and bypassing one of the trickiest sections of the track. He most likely would’ve caught J mart anyway but that’s not the point.
The rule is that you must re-enter at the first available safe spot without advancing your position....that is what he did
Rule also says not to accelerate off the track
This kid lives rent free in so many grown ups heads…lol
As I watch it a few more times, looks like he could have easily checked up and stayed on track, albeit with lost momentum. I think he got away with one here
He was on JMart's back tire before the mistake and rejoins 3-4 bike lengths back. He cruises and grabs a tear off. The guys who have gotten penalized have been ripping down the side of the track. I fully expected him to rookie panic and pin it lighting up the tire down the track and he showed maturity and didn't. Nothing to see unless you're searching to find something very small to make it much bigger in my opinion.

This has been an issue the powers that be refuse to address.
Villopoto did it often, and many other riders have too.
They make a mistake and, instead of fighting to stay on the track and lose time, they go off the track and pin it, maintaining their race position. They don’t gain an advantage from where they were before the mistake, but they do gain an advantage. Their advantage gained is that they pinned it off the track and/or cut the track to negate the mistake.
The two worst instances of this happened in MX (yes I get it’s a different sanctioning body, which is why I said “powers that be”).
The first one popping into mind is Martin at Millville going up (ironically) Mt. Martin. He made the mistake and just cut over to where the track comes back down the hill. He waits there for a good 10 seconds and re-enters right where he was before the mistake, immediately behind the rider he was behind and right in front of Osborne.
The second one was Cianciarulo battling Cooper. Cianciarulo made a mistake and went off course. He decided to just cut the entire long turn before the finish (I forget what track this was) and re-enter right where he was before he went off, right behind Cooper.
I get the mindset of rider safety. We don’t want riders going backwards and re-entering where they went off and endangering others and themselves. But, it truly is ridiculous and they should be much more strict about it. Riders negating their mistake by going off course and pinning it is, in my opinion, an advantage gained.
Team tactics and rules do not apply to Danger Boy. He will eventually get his returns sooner then later. Outside of the drama he is doing a sic job on the track. 😂
Thank you, so kind

Looked to me like he pulled a tear-off . How you can have your hand on the throttle and pull a tear-off at the same time i do not know ?
Uuhhmm. Tear offs are always pulled from the clutch side. Good try though.
I noticed a couple races ago on a start a rider went off the track and went the same speed as the riders on the track along the whole timing section and jumped back onto the track going into the turn in about 10th place.
I think the track is purposely built with an entrance area for riders that end up off the track.
I couldn't care less who the rider is, this thread is about the act. Agree or disagree about whether it was egregious, either is fine with me.
One thing is for sure, the fanboys sure are sensitive
Jesus fucking christ, thanks for refreshing my memory, that's what we are crying out?
What advantage? where is it? huh? still gapped Martin.
Worst in supercross I can remember was last year when Webb crashed before the whoops and just rode off the track alongside them instead of going through them
I think you guys should start a petition to have Star Racing fire Haiden for being one of the worst rookies to ever put a leg over a pro bike. I agree with the other poster that said Deegan is living rent free in a lot of grown men's head. Pretty entertaining to read actually.
😂😂😂
He was 1 bike length behind JMart before the dragons back, and ended up at least 2-3 back after the dragons back. therefore, he did not gain an advantage. Sure his body may have "gotten a break," but I'm sure his heart rate actually increased when this happen rather than catching a breath...
