Hey guys I have a ton of gear that I'm not using. Is there a charity to donate to that could find people who need it. And don't say I'll take it I'm wanting this to go to people who maybe can't afford it. All the pants are 30" waist and jerseys are Med. Mostly 2018/19 Fly gear and some 2020 Troy Lee stuff. Again I'm looking for a charitable org or something along those lines.
Doesn't Dungey have some foundation to get kids riding? Although, as I type this I think he gets them bicycles. But good on you. I think it's kind of a hard situation because if someone can't afford gear, they surely can't afford a bike, gas, transportation to riding area, entry fee, etc. We always donated my son's old soccer cleats and gears to charitable organizations, but that was completely different story. Maybe take it with you when you go riding and look for someone who isn't fully kitted or looks like they could use some gear? Or sell it and donate the money to R2R or some other moto charity.
2nd hand moto in Michigan.. she sells, but I also see her donate frequently.. might be able to help ya if nothin else..
ironic you post this … I have probably 8 sets of Shift and TLD gear still in great condition that I would happily donate! I was just looking at them last night deciding (wife telling me i need to clean my shut up) if i should just chuck them because what else can i do with it?
Sounds like you may have discovered a charity that you could run! Or the other option is just sell it on marketplace or wherever for really cheap. When I was a poor college kid cheap gear was like hitting the lottery.

How hygienic is it to give someone gear you've sweated through dozens of times to someone else?
Donate it at your local motocross track or find a local guy who does MX schools - those guys always have students without the right gear.
'The fuck is this noise?
Maybe try reaching out to a local riding club or two? This goes for old trophies as well, they can always be repurposed instead of going to a landfill.
Hey guys thanks for all the help Second Hand Moto reached out and I'll be sending them the gear! They will pay for the shipping and get it to some deseving riders so win/win!
Likely wears a mask, alone in his car, too…
This is a topic that I hope gets some additional responses and ideas.
I always thought it would be nice to have way to donate 2nd hand gear to military vets, first responders, college kids scraping it or just anybody having a harder time then some and would really use and appreciate it.
Like a lot of folks- I'm not rich by any means but have been fortunate enough to sometime go through gear before its actually worn out. You don't want to toss it nor do you want to have to haggle and deal with someone from Craigslist/FB Marketplace for a few bucks.
I like the idea that Second Hand Moto was willing to help out on this. Good for them for helping!
Here's a kicker about 2nd hand moto...she hauls ass too.. hell, her whole fam hauls ass.. lol

Awesome group of riders that are actively getting kids and adults into our sport at the grassroots!
Hey guys!
We finally jumped on the Vital wagon.
I’m the owner of 2nd Hand Moto (female owned) I’ve been in this sport for 24 years, I started this company a few years back to help keep new and experienced riders on the track without spending a fortune buying gear.
We buy, sell, trade & take donations. We are always looking for ways to help out. We’re located in Michigan.
if you guys have any questions, feel free to reach out: info@secondhandmoto.co
you can also reach us through our website, Facebook page or Instagram.
thank you,
Bryce
For the guys in SoCal, even though I think they are nation wide, I sell my old gear at Play It Again Sports. They give you $20 bucks or so for a full set and they turn around and sell it for really cheap.
Last few times I just left pants or gloves hanging on the fence at the track.
If I took moto gear to my play it again sports in my area, they wouldn't have any clue what it was.
Yeah that’s what it would be like in the place I grew up as well but the one in Huntington Beach has a section about 10ft long and 3 shelves high. Ran across some cool 90’s gear several times there.
How hygienic is it that you don't know what a washing machine is?
Pit Row
Nico Izzi will take it
I found a shop locally that has a riding group with lots of new riders. I give them my old gear and parts.
You can also bring them to a track and leave them by the front gate. Someone will take them.
Looks like it is time for Vital to set up the Vital foundation!!
You could check with your local track.
I know that Rio Bravo has a bunch of gear for guys that forgot some of their stuff at home.
Im sure that the track would be able to point in neutral the right direction.
