I really don't remember you being a shit stirrer but you can't tell me that most on this board would say the things in person that they do on the board.

Worst place is either Redding or Visalia.....

Since Redding has Mt Shasta an Lassen not too far away, I'd give the nod to Visalia.

i stood on an on ramp in bakersfield back in 1968 for about 12 hours. that place sucks pretty bad. but then maybe not as much as chu lai in 69.

Were you sporting the hippie look? Most of the Okie's in Bakersfield would just as soon shoot you if you had long hair, much less give you a ride in the '60's.

Bakersfield was great growing up there in the '60's ,early '70's. Miles of open foothills to ride in. Used to leave from the house and ride all the way to Tehachipee mountains when we could get a support vehicle to make the trip behind us.

Today ,I agree. It is kind of a hole. Tampa was nice at one time as well. The immigrants have sure fucked it up in the last 25 years, though, starting with the Marielito's.

Spent my first 34yrs in Ca and while Stockton may not be the "Blessed Land" it is not as bad as Visalia. Two places in Ca that I think are perfect (ok 3) Tahoe, Fort Bragg and Bodega Bay... (the last two I've commercial fished out of)...

Bishop, CA is seriously in a bitch of a spot, but got mucho bueno points due to Tiki being a resident.

Do you know how much i still laugh my assoff about the talk we had when you were up here?

btw: thanks again for all the schwag, i took a couple of those classic Dunlop posters to get framed, uggh man, they wanted an arm and a leg, guess they arent a "standard" frame size.

I spent my first 21 years in and around Stockton but thankfully lived just outside in Linden. Stockton today has gone waaaaaaaaaaay downhill. Been there lately?

You definitly need to add Huntington Beach to your list of perfect spots in CA.
