Will Ezras style transcend to the new generation

Just read the hype on Ezra's bike and support and found myself wondering how Ezra's style
will transcend to the younger generations of scrubbers and whippers. I can't wait to find out and couldnt be more excited to have a this little extra for the race. I mean he comes from the era of Mcgrath where it was smooth to win, and now it seems like guys are so much more aggressive. How much will he adapt his style and how will it change from the last time we saw him race. Just somthing to ponder before the big weekend.

Man his bike looks sick!!!

hard to really see a 'style' at the US Open, unless you count smashing someone in the corner a style. Lots of guys will be running that style there due to the setup.
I could care less how he does as long as he finishes safe. I'm just pissed I'm not there this year to finally meet up with him. I have about 3 more wears on my old EL shirt before it literally falls apart at the seams.

Ezra's style will do just fine... especially at U.S. Open. Ezra is more than capable of being aggressive and throwin' down.

If I remember correctly, Ezra was able to challenge and win by being a bit more aggressive. Yogi is a stud. Broke my heart to watch him get busted up in slc.

RV doesn't whip/scrub all that much, and he seems to do just fine. Scrubbing definitely "works" in certain situations, but as a general riding technique, it's overused and over-hyped, IMO.

Of the riders from his era, Ezra arguably had the most "new generation" way of riding anyway, so if he struggles, I doubt it will be due to his riding style.

Ezra i can def see doin a top-10... He bumps, How will the new school riders respond to dudes that actually bump while riding? Maybe he can bring back the break checks and all of the stuff you dont see anymore.

Yogi's style always seemed a bit ahead of it's time. I think that is why he was one of the few who won during the MC/RC era. I think breaking the top 10 would be a ridiculous feat, but I hope he pulls it off!

If were basing this solely on scrubbing abilities... that would be rediculous. Stewart himself noticeably ... it's not just about scrubbin' a bike. It's gettin in there being aggressive and being able to push it which Yogi is well known for... as for the younger generation... they've had their own struggles aswell. It was just 2003 when Yogi was battling for wins. 6 years later and the same guys are still winning that he was battling with back then.

I like the pourcel comments, and I am pumped to see how Ezra fairs. I don't think
a top 10 will be that hard for him. There isnt usually 20 top factory guys and this is in no
way a slap to the many good riders on sattelite teams, top 5 would be impressive though.

Lusky will do good purely on the adranaline that comes from not racing in 6 years and coming back to have a packed house screaming for you. When I say he'll do good I'm saying he'll atleast make the mains. Which is a huge accomplishment at the open. I'm pretty sure only 14 riders line up for the main. Once in the main at an arenacross we all know anything can happen. Heck a holeshot alone on that track will almost guarantee a top 5.

Scrubbin at the US Open? Scrub what?

The track would fit in my lounge room. More likely drag a bit of rear brake, keep it low and back on the gas.

Yogi will do just fine, he was fast back then on the bikes they made back then and he'll be faster now on the bikes they make now.
