it fits alot like my fly kinetic mesh gear without the Velcro on the sides. The Jersey could be a tad longer in the front but other than that it deff gets the job done and looks pretty good too.

120 bucks got me 2 sets 22.5 axxis range and axxis proto

How does the waist fit on the pants? True to size, or a little big like most MX pants?

I wear 38 jeans with a belt, but normally 36 MX pants fit me well. However I’ve heard to go 38 on the MSR stuff because it’s a little tighter..

Yeah go a size up I wear 38 with a belt as well but have a large left thigh due to a past injury and had to get 40. You’d probably be good at 38, 40 wouldn’t hurt tho

my old size 36 fly kinetic fit EXACTLY the same as my newer 38 fly kinetic that I had to send back so gear is “shrinking” imo

I do wish we had a separate bike/gear thread to discuss this kind of stuff.

I haven’t bought any gear in like 4 years. I am going a little wild but finding pants for $27-$40 and stocking up for the next 4 years. Trying to discuss quality because I want it to last!

Back when gear looked good and was durable. Much better than this rainbow colored puke crap of today. That shit Hunter was wearing was horrendous.

My Fox gear has always had the best looks, fit and durability ..hands down. And I don’t care if they sell shit at Pacsun, it’s still been the best.

That being said, I bought a set of FXR gear for Xmas, looking forward to riding in it..

R3NEN seems to have gone quiet, doesn't it?

It hasn’t. They’re still making gear. It was never meant to become a heavy hitter. Pete said he didn’t plan on sponsoring any pro riders or teams with it initially.

Klim has been my go to for decades. I bought some Renen a couple of years ago and last year, it seems to hold up well. I try other stuff out from time to time when it's on sale or closeouts, I can't seem to get the other brands to hold up as well. I do like those 100% winter gloves though.

I have worn several brands but best fit is the FLY lite gear. I think seven is def overpriced and don't get it why it's so expansive ...it doesn't even hold its color. Fox trail gear is good but very low waist. Durable and good comfy fit seems to be the challenge these days...might try out Klim next :-)

My only issue so far with O’neal, is there sizing charts for jerseys and gloves seem off.

I wore Fox back in the 80's and early 90's. Mostly Answer and then TLD until about 5 years ago. Bought one set of Fasthouse and fell in love with it. Bought like 5 more sets of pants and multiple jerseys. Super comfortable and they fit really well. Durability has been extremely good too. I wear Fasthouse now , but have nothing against my older brands. They served me well.

Anyone have any experience with the Fly Racing lite pants from 2 years ago ish? They look super comfortable and I find pairs for cheap all the time, but I’m wondering quality of materials and durability.

I currently think FXR and Alpinestars are killing it.
