And then there were three

At the beginning of the season I saw forum and media predictions of wins by Chase, Eli, Cooper, Jason, Mookie, Dylan, Aaron, Adam, Ken, and even a swoony Pulp prediction of a win by Christian.  At this point in the season, we have 3 winners, and I really doubt that anyone else is capable breaking through this year.  Are three winners all we’re getting this year?  If not, who else and why haven’t they shown that speed yet?

I think Anderson will still get a win at some point.

Plessinger seems to be the only guy with a hope of catching them, and I think he would need at least two of them to crash. Maybe Anderson figures something out and wins one?

Anderson gets a win at some point, then maybe one freak race where somebody else breaks through, but that's about it.

Every year people say 7 guys will win. And every year a few win and the title picture is set in place by round 8 😂

Pless is looking really good…if he can get a holeshot on the right track I think he has a win in him.

What do you think will change to give him the extra speed he needs to make that happen?  I figured him to be a championship contender, but every week that goes by he’s falling further and further behind the leaders at the end.

I add Ando AP7 and Roczen to the list beyond that 6 I don’t see anyone else catching

the title is Eli’s to lose

Plessinger could maybe get one.  Possibly at Daytona though he would have to unseat the Daytona King Tomac.  Anderson seems a tick off this year compared to last.  I think a lot will have to go right for him to get one.  Especially with Webb, Tomac and Sexton going as well as they are.

He's already more than a race down in points.     He has the speed in qualifying and the heat....but in the mains, he got nothin.

Ando has the speed, just needs a start now that he's on probation and can't play bumper cars to make his way through the pack.  Triple crown formats leave the door open for other riders outside of Eli, Coop, and Chase.  Wouldn't surprise me to see someone like Barcia or AP win a race if its a mudder.  Ken is really struggling with the bike.  If he can figure it out, he could win one too.  His current struggle with the Zook is cringeworthy.

Last year there was no pressure to win. This year there are expectations to win races and the title. Anderson does not thrive under pressure, especially from himself.

I'd love to ask Anderson this, if he is ever actually open to doing interviews...

We all know how much he struggled after he won the title. Well, last year was better than his title-winning year and he didn't win.

That must mean there was more emphasis to "get it done" this year, as he was clearly capable and deserving. Everyone agrees.

I've got to think that's drained him again and the result of that is random moves on other riders; frustration and desperation.

Seems to me that is what Eli suffered from over @ Kawi....pressure from management.

...and likely what burned out RV.

If Plessinger holeshots a mud race - win.

If Barcia misses Anderson while trying to take him out and instead collects Tomac and Webb, then Tomac and Webb get tangled up again when Sexton crashes his way out of the lead, then Anderson could hold on for the win.
