I fell in love with your riding style. The flawless way you flow through rhythm sections and corners just made my heart race. But you have let me down so many times, I have to move on. I'm seeing Cooper Webb now.
Maybe it's your friends. Maybe you should move to a new town, like KTMville and meet new people. But I think you need to better yourself. I still love you and wish you the best, as a friend.
I bet my wife , with about 8 minutes left in the main, That Chase is going to slowly pull away then have a couple ooooohhhhh moments before have a wtf are you doing , giving it to Tomac.
Needless to say I won the “ undisclosed prize “ and now Myself and Eli are both winners last night.
All joking aside , I feel for the guy, its got to be demoralizing. To be that close that many times and just not be able to pull it together.
And to have Ricky in the booth just hammer you every time you make a mistake, maybe Ricky is sensitive about Eli catching him in wins or something. Maybe he just wants those cheeseburgers.
The kid has the most raw speed since James, but he also has that throw it away or win mentality.
My favorite part is that Ricky had just said- “Chase is just cruising at this point, he has broken Tomac at least for this race.” And not two seconds later Sexton was on the ground. 😂
Which brings up a huge issue with RC in the booth.
He's always trying to broadcast ahead of the real time action.
Instead of simply calling the race as it unfolds.
I think that's what leads to him getting so tongue tied half the time he opens his mouth.

Chase doesn’t seem to have the confidence (or the sense) to realize he can back it off a hair when the track is going off and still win.
JS did the same things, always had to prove he was the fastest by a wide margin and frequently crashed as a result.
It seems like Chase needs to realize that Eli is an all timer and when you’re gapping him by that much you’re probably going too damn fast. At least my opinion anyway. Jett seems to have mastered the smooth getaway.
I think you're right.
It would seem so simple.
If only my wife would ever say that…
Guess that secret frame mod isn’t working?
Think it’s working just fine. Dude has speed to spare. He’s running into physics problems he can’t overcome.
Yep. The difference between 99.8% and 100.2% is small but significant.
When Chase figures it out, he could dominate for a while. And we’ll be having the same conversation about the Lawerence brothers!
I do think he will figure it out. Maybe it will take Eli retiring….. at some point he has to figure it out. The really hard part is getting to that level of speed. A philosophy for how to manage it should be an easy part.
Chase Sexton is only in his second season in the 450 Class and his results are much better than Eli Tomac's early years in the 450 Class. Eli Tomac started racing 450's in 2014 and struggled several seasons with injuries and being the bridesmaid to Ryan Dungey and Cooper Webb until he won the 450 title in 2020. Kinda funny how some people are baggin on Chase Sexton's crashes, but he and Eli gave us one of the best battles for motocross championship in 2022. I think Chase is doing incredible for only his second season in the 450's.
Well, one of the Lawrence brothers.
I think Chase has been on a 450 since 2020 outdoors. I like him and I expect multiple championships in his future. I was just having some fun with my original post.
Would your opinion change at all if this was his 3rd season in 450s? His speed is incredible still but this unforced error stuff while leading is bad. Btw it is his 3rd season.
I know Jett’s the golden boy, but I’m still wondering if he’s gonna be the one? But if both of them survive the 450 adjustment seasons it could make them a hell of a force to be dealt with. Never get in a fight with one brother when the other one is in the same room..
Chase might have his hands full..
“Here comes the pass …… oooo, almost”
If Jett jumped on a 450 right now, I'd say there's a 49% chance he'd be Honda's #1 finisher from here on. It's that close. Chase really does need to get his act together.
Pit Row
Haha! I did the same thing.
One things for sure though. Chase will get this all figured out in the next year or so and he’s going to be the top dog for a few years.
If he's not in your top 2 of fantasy picks every weekend, well then you aren't much for fantasy SX. 7 points back
I have him for the win this weekend, 3 shorter races
Jett’s dominance, Hunters as well, is a great example of why the 250 regional setup is wrong. Jetts having a fantastic season, but with half the competition on the couch at most of the races he’s not getting the pressure he’s gonna see when he gets on a 450.
I think the big bike adjustment season problems that have riders like Chase struggling with consistency are largely because we let guys win championships for a half season on bikes that are easier to ride in the first place. JMO.
No, it's not you, it's me. Every time Chase has thrown it away, I've had him picked to win. Chase, Honda, agent,,,, if you want to cure this sickness,,,, I'm easy enough to find. Bring your checkbook.
I said out loud to my wife and son, unless Chase dumps it, this will be pretty boring to the end. 30 seconds later it was all over.
"Watch, he's going to go for the pass right here... Oh, he didn't go for it."
"Watch, he's going to set him up right here... Oh, he missed the opportunity"
1 thing that's going to help jett is by the time he's on his 2nd or 3rd year in 450s most of the top guys will be retired or atleast past there peak other then sexton. He will win either way but that will help him dominate for years to come
Hahaha I’m glad we can all come together as a community and agree on some stuff 😂
Yeah, I heard that and thought, here we go, he purposely put the commentators' jinx on him!
I’m torn between your view and that maybe when Chase gets out front his mind maybe wanders a little bit after putting in X amounts of repeated laps. I remember hearing Ryno say something about hitting whoops in a SX race and thinking about the cheeseburger he was going to eat later that night.
I told my wife the same thing with about 7:30 left in the race. Maybe Feld should hire us to do the announcing.
Who knows what goes on in the mind of an ultra elite rider? You may be right but my thoughts are that he takes it too serious to let his mind wander. Maybe he thinks he can’t let up or they will catch him. He seems to hugely respect Eli and maybe not have enough confidence in his own abilities which are amazing. Eli himself says he’s never been pushed so hard. Can’t help but to like Sexton though. Seems like a solid guy.
