Weege and Blair are two of the brightest people covering our sport. The Weege Show and Blair's Breakdown are at the top of my YT channel list. Analysis and coverage are spot on.
Blair is obviously moving up the ranks in the broadcast booth. So what's up with Weege?
This is a huge year for Feld/MX Sports and all of us. We need the "A Team" at the races and in front of the fans. If the phrase. "Anybody who is Anybody was there" is true, that can't be said for these races when one of the best in the business is doing work-from-home from North Carolina for Racer-X.
Just seems like we are missing an opportunity to put our best foot forward as a sport. Weege, the races and coverage are better when you are there whether you are on the broadcast or not. But you definitely need to be on.
He will do the play by play for motocross, as I “think” don’t hold me to this, he is under contract with MX Sports/Davey Coombs.
Weege and Stewart will be doing a pre race show next week. It will be live on peacock 30 mins before the opening ceremonies. He mentioned in the post race show this week, that he will be back at the next several events. I am guessing he has family obligations as well.
Just personal opinion but I prefer Blair over Weege. For me, when it comes to announcing, Weege sounds like a bit of a spaz when he talks too fast.
I prefer Weege and wish he got brought into SX, Blair always goes off his own opinion and jumps on bandwagons of different riders 50 times a year with his crazy takes on future results. He’s the definition of if you make 100 statements 1 is bound to be correct.

Thanks! That's awesome...must have missed that part.
Suspected there might be some sort of family backstory.
Blair is doing a great job but Weege is still the king.
Daniel Blair is absolutely fantastic. I am really enjoyed the combination of him and RC in the booth.
Weege works his butt off. He wears a lot of hats in the industry. At times, especially later in the outdoor season, it's evident he's had too little sleep and too much caffeine (cue the infamous Weege WHOAA!! a second too late). He still laps the field with his talent. Mad respect. He deserves a break.
Weege is the obvious first choice for play-by-play announcer for supercross and motocross. His knowledge of our sport is encyclopedic and he delivers it on the fly.
Daniel is a former racer and he best fits the role of color commentator. Those two in the booth together would be gold.
I love his calls on MX and will be happy he's there.
They are trying to make this a wholistic series as Supermotocross. Applying a wholistic approach for announcing would support that. A separatist approach does not do as good a job. Not necessarily saying the same people need to do every race, but get a very tight group and cycle through them in SX and MX as a whole. Put the best team on the field for the entire game.
I just don’t like weeges voice 🤷♂️ Clearly he’s beyond knowledgeable but it’s something about it and I think other heads at the top feel the same or else he’d be announcing SX.
Blair is awesome, absolutely awesome it should be him for every Supercross and outdoor.
Lol I don’t hear a problem with Weege’s voice. I’ve always thought he was a great speaker. I am guessing you sound like Bruce Buffer?
Blair does great at play-by-play.
It's not unheard of for former athletes to be play-by-play guys. Pat Summerall and Frank Gifford fit that mold (though Gifford eventually moved to color).
Blair is so so so much better than than Leigh Diffey.
Weege worked with MotoAmerica last year for road bike racing. Just a guess... But, maybe he is taking on a larger role on that side of the industry.
