I watched the 2023 Team Honda HRC intro and this caught my eye at the 24-25 second mark.
The nose area doesn't look like 100% goggles. EKS Brand Lucid?
Team Photoshoot. Hunter again with the Alpinestars strap while Jett has 100% goggles.
I'm guessing it's just a placeholder strap because his goggle deal wasn't finalized at the time of the photoshoot or Alpinestars might start outfitting some of their athletes with their "own goggles" à la FMF.
Anyway, just an observation.
Pretty sure they are just Lucid's with a different strap and used just for marketing shots. I've never seen them use them with an athlete but I would say you are right, he maybe is between brands?
That's what I'm thinking. I find it odd that he doesn't have something lined up this close to 2023.
I think the photos were shot recently as well.

Alpinestars goggles have been around for awhile, Cudby has been using them on his off-road shoots for probably a year now. Check his off-road underground imagery
Are they on some promotional rider/model for advertisements or professional athletes?
I've seen them for Alpinestars gear advertisements, but never on professional athletes.

Again, I just find it odd that a rider of Hunter's caliber wouldn't have a goggle deal sorted out this close to a new season. I would've expected him to represent a brand for the team's official 2023 photoshoot, not just a temporary place holder strap.
Like I previously mentioned, maybe it's similar to the FMF goggle deal with 100%. I don't know.

It’s a Lucid goggle with A-Stars strap. Either A-Stars is working on a goggle or just wanted Hunter in head-to-toe branding. Or little of both.
Still odd given the timing.
If he's got a deal in place with a company other than AStars and AStars wanted him head to toe in their branding, I guess the other company would've had to sign off on that.
First time seeing that, so it leaves some questions.
I guess we'll see come 2023.
Cudby has been using them for all his photoshoots this year. This post is from January, he's been running them in ads all year.

FXR is a collaboration with EKS Brand (their Lucid model).
I think like ML said that they want head to toe and that’s added to his deal now. I doubt they’d sell anything probably more just for appearance
If you don’t have EKS Brand, you won’t win.

What's weird is Jett has a 100% logo on his jersey. Hunter does not...
Sounds like 100% didn't need/want both of them or Hunter didn't like the offer......or A Stars wanted Hunter head to toe and it was a package deal for him.
It's more weird jett has a Jstar logo on his and Hunter doesn't.

Most likely. They make everything else. Only makes sense that they want to have guys wearing product head to toe.

He's currently wearing EKS Brand Lucid with an Alpinestars strap, but I wouldn't be surprised if they had something in the works. It only makes sense considering that's the only piece of riding gear they don't make.
Eh, I agree in general, but Alpinestars and Fox do a good job making top tier products in every category. You can go head to toe in either one, and you’re safe and comfy.

Is it a new goggle or not? Why would he say that it's the debut of something they developed if everyone thinks it's an EKS Brand?
I agree his caption is weird but it's just the EKS Lucid goggle. FXR also runs them with their own strap and calls them the "Factory Ride Goggle"
Curious if anyone knows if/when these will be available to the public.
One week from today is the release.
These are screenshots from Alpinestars website. If You look around enough You can find a lot of images. This goggle is not an X-brand with Alpinestars on the strap. There are some things about it that I am excited to see how they end up fitting and working .
