I used to spin rod fish all the time cause I didn’t care to learn bugs, but I have since found kinda an extra calming measure in trying out different combos and rigs. It’s just a lot more expensive 😂

Been I to all kinds of RCs on land and air, recently got a couple of the new 1/24th scale crawlers and they have been fun with my 2 young kids. They are small and slow unlike 1/10 or 1/8th scale stuff so you can run them indoors with 3 year olds. We use them as drivable vehicles when playing with the kids' toys or set up crawler courses with whatever we have on hand. Really great cheap and easy winter fun.

Tennis, biking, volleyball, hiking. If we include video games I do that too. And of course I watch football, hockey, and baseball. I’m also a big history guy, so I love learning more about anything involving history.

Just picked up this little rig . Only did some basement crawling so far but it is a very capable unit . Got all kinds of plans for upgrades and mods and can’t wait to hit the rocks 👍

I picked up an Axial 1/24 1967 Chevy Truck.  They have a cool little course where we race big cars at.  Very relaxing, crawling that is.

I have somehow ended up old and fat, with 2 bad knees and a torn rotator cuff that will require replacement.

So I am really into gymnastics, mma fighting and an occasional ultra marathon....

Actually trying to live healthier and work on my Swedish death cleanse. I have accumulated so much stuff. I am a third generation pack rat and I am hoping I get it all under control one month before I go on the long trip (or the quick one, depending on your theological persuasion, or lack thereof).

Also helping with projects at my GF's 80 horse stable and doing work on 3 rental houses, including one that we just evicted a tenant that got hooked on meth, $37k estimated damages.

So not a whole bunch of free time, but than I guess one other thing I got from my dad was not needing 10 different hobbies.

I have an old mtn bike I am freshening up to go ride laps at a school near me and I got me a farkled out klr 650 and hoping to start doing some moto camping and maybe tackle some adventure routes like the MABDR, Smokey MTN 500, and the SCAR.

If I ever got caught up enough to take a month or two off, and i am still able to get my leg over the seat, it would be cool to do the TAT (Trans-american trail, from Tennessee to Oregon)

I had the Bomber for about 3 months at one point when it first released.

It was fun, but very slow and not too stable. I started researching them when I had originally posted this and saw it was discontinued and that the Cabra was somewhat a replacement, however geared more towards crawling.

Talked myself out of it, as I knew I'd quickly want to be a $1k into it and chance I'd sell it in 3 months from lack of use.

Ended up picking up a Handy MC lift for the shop instead of venturing down the new hobby path for now...9 month old daughters '22 PW50 is now torn down on the table to get it ready by her first birthday (making a '93 PW50 replica out of it), so she can look at it for at least another year before she even attempts to ride it Laughing

Also found out in recent weeks that it appears I'll be rebuilding a motor for the project bike (Fantic 240) I have for my dad. Dropped off the motor over the holidays, and the engine builder sadly passed away, so once her bike is done, ill tear down our spare motor for it and dive into engine rebuilding for the first time.

Yeah these little cars are slow but fun in a different way especially building a course in the house, the 1/10th crawlers can be almost too capable.

Get your daughter on a balance bike at 2 and a 12 inch electric bike at 2-1/2 or 3, kids younger than that arent really strong enough to hold onto the bars good. She can be on that for a while before stepping up to the p dub.

Do you race at big dog or somewhere farther north? We have 2 of the chevy trucks, mines the green on and my son's is the gray one. I just 3d printed a new hitch for Bluey's camper so he can tow it around, I gotta do a proper hitch for the truck next.

That's a cool shop, I used to go there to practice every once in a while, Saturday races didn't work with my schedule. I haven't raced since I had my kids and my free time went to zero haha.

I just got her a balance bike geared for 12 month olds; she's not quiet to understanding moving her feet so we have some time but at 9 months it fits her, so just waiting on her to get ready for walking.

We have her a 12.5" Oset in the garage that was my niece and nephews with training wheels as an intermediary.

Is it one of the 3 wheeled balance bikes? We got one of those but it doesn't really work good. My experience has been walking at 1 year, balance bike at 2, electric bike at 3. With kids, some days are better than others and it's good to keep it fun for everybody, and really feel out when to push and when to back off on things. Every kid is different. My daughter is 22 months younger than my son and she had an easier time learning to ride because she could watch him. The limiting factor for her had been her height. They just got a pw50 for Christmas but they haven't had a chance to ride it yet since it's winter here.  Those Osets really look cool.

Great picture!  I currently have a pool table in the man cave as well but does not see any activity especially since I haven't been on a league team for years.

20181110 200340 0 0

I grew up playing pool as my Dad always had pool tables (3) downstairs. It's a lost art unfortunately kids and youth these days don't have the patience nor the attention span, they'd rather be playing video games or be on their phones.

During the days of The Color of Money (one of my favorite movies) pool activity was at an all time high.

Now it's a rare sight to even see one in a bar.

Just turned 60

Been thinking about Jacking-off again, Been 30+ years as I have been mard by my wife ounce a month till she went dry 4 years ago.

Since then I haven't had to think about having SEX. I mean it is a chore, at my age and look forward getting passed it to get back to outdoor shit like Lifting Boulders in to place, pulling stumps, Chopping wood, mowing the fields and the ugliness of putting away a dozen PBR's before entering the house thinking I may have to Bang the wife.....again.

Mountain Biking, Snowboarding and most recently Mil Sim paint ball with my son. I'm having a blast with him doing it during our rough Oregon winters, when most MX tracks are shut down. It gets us outside even in shitty weather, is awesome exercise (running from position to position over a 500 yard field while being shot at really gets your heart rate going), and the rush of adrenaline when said shots are buzzing past my head at 350 FPS while trying to cover my son, is something that has bonded us together like no other. I never thought I'd get into paint ball, especially Mil Sim but he caught wind of it on youtube and asked me to take him and I'm so glad he did. Now we are weekend regulars and the fun we share together is something I cherish.

I play drums in three bands. Along with open mic I play music out 3-4 times a week. It's turned into a nice little side income.

More or less, yes. 2 wheels up front, and then technically 2 in the bike but it's bound together.

For now, just sticking her on it once every few days as she really likes standing (with us supporting her drunken wobbles) so allows her to stand and hold herself up at the moment

The Osets are pretty neat. Were friends with the US importer for them and typically go ride with him once a year out west so it fell in our laps.

I’ve been spending more time on the emtb, these things are a blast.  Took a ride down the beach after work yesterday, unreal how we could pedal over cobblestone and through sand. Saw some interesting things down there as well Laughing

Long time cyclist for road and mtb. I started riding gravel last year when a friend gave me his bike after he upgraded.  It’s so nice not to be dodging cars and peaceful just riding in the Francis Marion Forest. Sometimes I forget I’m even on a bicycle.

It did, but the afore mentioned activity can be a hobby until you go blind and/or get arrested.

And there is the old joke about there only being 2 kinds of people.........doers and deniers that do
