The hype is not living up to the hype. The reason is his past so called domination suggests it to receptive ears. Why is it when folks point out things didn't go as anticipated the Deganites say your a bad person for hating on a kid? Couldn't be their fault for over hyping him. Seems to me the hype may be the cause of it not living up to itself. All those followers hanging on the kids nuts must get really heavy.
Deegan passed Preston and then got repassed …. it looked like a great battle from what I saw .
I haven’t seen much vid of any of these guys before but from what I saw last night , I agree with the posters that say Bennick is the one to watch . He looked rock solid .
Exactly . Haiden is overhyped … but he’s not the one doing the overhyping is he .
How many times do I have to say I don’t hate the kid and don’t want him to succeed. It’s his nut hugger fans that think he’s going to be the next stew or RC that I have a problem with.

Safe to say he won't be lining up next weekend?
He’s a young kid that got a bad start and had some bad luck. Who dosent have nights like this? Didn’t his first outdoor experience go terrible when he wadded himself and then the next race he got a top 10? All these top kids are fast and hang it out, sometimes it works and sometimes it dosent. I think for the most part, especially with these full grown adults talking shit on any young rider,I don’t see you lining up? Maybe sitting your fataass on the couch eating a bag of chips and just being a total douche bag. None talking about how Hawkins pretty much led the entire race? This is the future of our sport, regardless whose name is on the back of the jersery, these kids are risking it everytime they swing their leg over the seat. Instead of being a jealous whinny old fuck, just be glad we got some good racing for the upcoming kids!
When you build the hype train up the way they have through social media. Sometimes that same Hype train runs you over when it goes off the rails
How did they build the hype up? From what I have seen and heard they are not the ones saying he is the next AC, Stew or Ricky….that was people on this forum and IG.
Social Media builds fan, and the fans fuel the hype train warranted or not. They unintentionally built the hype train through social media, but they built it none the less.
Another day in the life of Vital MX.
Who's got the ferret?
Deegan is a social media influencer. He has a huge following whether he wins or not. Big difference. His dad is a marketing master and understands branding his name and selling merch. It’s a double edged sword. The kid has so much attention on him that anything he does is scrutinized. It’s not because he wins, it’s because his dad has pushed him into the limelight. I wish the best for him but there’s plenty of other kids who focus on just riding and no being an influencer
I’m not a Deegan hater at all, but this really made me laugh.
Lol, when you name someone “dangerboy deegan” and then clickbait every video with DANGERBOY DEEGAN does this or that you are intentionally building hype.
what rock are you living under bud lol?
Can someone post his podium interview please?
Your multiple posts certainly make it a case where repeating what you’re saying here doesn’t seem to match.
The greatest riders in our sport have all gone out and had solid supercross debuts. This kid cracked in an amateur supercross. Can we move on now please?
The bad part of self/promotion and being hugely popular is you’re going to strike a chord with a bunch of haters too. Comes with the territory. I guess the Deegan’s should abandon all the money generated by youtube to appease those haters.
Just so you know, RC went 11 and 19 in his first 2 125 SX races. I remember him crying because he was so upset that it went so bad.
Jeremy McGrath went 11 and 8 in his first 2 125 SX. I get what you’re saying but your premise that all the greats killed it straight away is a no. ‘
Pit Row
I love all the excuses and back pedaling. Can we get to 10 pages?
Watching little Deegs yesterday, I was impressed with his riding skills and some of his turn speed. He attacked the living shit out of some turns…you can see this in the main. His race-craft was ok and he did pretty damn good for what was my 1st time seeing him on a real track.
Which brings me to this: anyone that seems to have some weird need to come in here and talk shit on a teen-age kid that has always been extremely well behaved on the track (when I’ve been on the track with him…since his days on 50s)…has always been appreciative when you stop to help him out…on that rare occasion that he’s crashed…which is usually quite spectacular…anyways…
ANYONE that seems to have the need to come on here and talk shit on that kid? Well, you need to go EABOD, GFY and find something-else to do after you accomplish all of that.
Signed,
Sorry, not sorry.
And why do you hate him? Or you going with you don’t as well? The unfortunate thing for you and your friends is, you think last night is all he’s going to amount to? Is 5th in the futures race his peak?
Start at 15 seconds. The kid on the honda is infront of him. He goes off the track rides down the straight and enters infront of him.
Has a poor start, an unfortunate get off on a track that nearly killed half the pro field, charges back to fifth, looking really good doing it.
I say we burn him at the stake.
Well this has been fun, my bait was better than I thought. Hooked a bunch of big ones with this.
Lol. Nice exit strategy! What a master you are.
HD is just unproven at this point. He'll get his chance to prove it at the next level and at that point, its all up to him. Lovas are gonna love and haters are gonna hate. I still think the best thing the Deegan's should have done is drop the whole Dangerboy schtick 5 years ago. It was cute when he was a little kid and then it may have been slick marketing for a few years as click bait, but now its fodder for mockery when he doesn't live up to the hype they've built. Its going to be detrimental and possibly become a joke if he doesn't start getting decent results at the next level.
IMO at the outdoor national he was trying to hard to get up front and crashed out because of it.
At A2 he went down and instead of overdoing it he was mature enough to know when to back it down and focus on finishing and scoring points.
This is the only logical take
He should be docked for that. I haven’t looked maybe he was. I don’t like this newer concept/rule of skipping the whole section. I liked it better when you had to get right back on the track ASAP. Like ASAP. Not 200 feet down the track.
He fell and got 5th. Sounds mortal.
Futures this season and full-time in the outdoors unless the plan was really east coast all along. He did not earn a change in plans (either way) but that should be ok.
