Can’t disagree with you on this one, but I definitely think it’s still better to take the slow approach than to wad up your year in the first race.
In interviews, his body language and demeanor seem defeated. He is definitely not the AC in front of the camera from a couple years ago. Hope he can find it again and we see that enthusiastic Adam of a couple years past. Thumbs aloft!
I'm sure it's been discussed before, but part of me thinks AC's troubles with wrecking and injuries could possibly be attributed to the fact that he went from as short as RC (perhaps shorter) to about the same height as Kevin Windham in like a year. On top of that, it didn't happen when he was an amateur which would've given him time to figure things back out, but rather it happened during the beginning of his pro career.
Is it possible that such a massive growth in height caused some massive changes to his riding form/style, and since he was already racing professionally and expected to win (he was probably the biggest amateur sensation since Stew), he was hyper focused on racing for results rather than slowly figuring things out in terms of flowing with the motorcycle at a different height?
Obviously, he's one of the best dirtbike racers in the world, so I'm not making some kind of technical critique of his form at all. I just have to assume that the movements of a 5'5 body on a dirt bike are a bit different than a 6 foot body.
He will be getting podiums by the end of the year (if he makes it)

He should just tighten it up a little bit his riding. His body moving a lot on the bike and sometimes, I think he does unecessary things that increase the risk of crashing. May be because he is tall. Very good for a fast lap but too much volatile on a whole season imo. He is smart guy, he wil figure out. He did good. When you are out of racing for so long, it takes times to rebuild your race pace. Wish to Adam a solid season that he would be proud.
I like how he said on PulpMX that he is good with getting out front in the main event like Sam Diego and getting exposed because he is running the lead pace for a bit, and around the top guys.
