that doesn't necessarily make him a dick head. just makes him outspoken.
kind of like the reed "cry baby" slander. if people would stop worrying and taking everything these guys say to heart, we would all be a lot better off.
Just sayin. Like you said, he is french, after all.
I don't think Pourcel was trying to be a dick, he got interviewed right after he had lost the title he worked all year for, in the heat of the moment.
He was pissed he lost the championship and made some stupid remarks.
The rest of the year he never said anything bad of his competition.
He tried to pull some shit in Steel City because he had to or he had no chance of winning it.
Just like Reed did in Vegas.
Both are awesome riders and gave us an exciting series to watch.
Be glad Pourcel was here or it would have been a lot more boring for 1st place.
...don't give a shit whether dungey is a cocksucker for doing this or doing that.
Pit Row
Pourcel did have some bad luck, and he sounded frustrated in that RX interview. I'm all for the riders saying whatever they want to say. One thing is for sure: he didn't get dirty even when things were very desperate. For that, and everything the guy has overcome, he is still okay in my book.
People from all over the world have had terrible things to say about the Americans they've met - arrogant, xenophobic, disrespectful, loud, brash, violent.
Just to inject a little reality here, dominate? He won 4 overalls and struggled just as much as anyone else this year. He gave that title away at Southwick by giving up in the second moto, which is HIS admission and not me making something up. Tell me the last time you remember RC giving up in his career, especially in the middle of a heated title chase.
Don't make this just about the French either. I wouldn't care if Pourcel was American, my opinion on a guy like that would be the same. Plenty of American kids are petty and excuse mongers in the press.
porcel an dungey made this a great season to follow, ok being a euro (british, an yeah i aint much for the frogs either) i did want porcel to win, but he didnt, but to attack the bloke personally for what he said when hed just lost a championshipship is a bit harsh if he said nothing then id be worried. dungey won, say no more, so take your hat off to the pair of them and say thanks for giving the best they got and making it a great year to be invovled in motox.
But especially in his first full year here, I think he's been looking around, obvserving and soaking up the U.S. scene with regards to riders, press, tracks, and more. I think he'll be back even stronger next year.
Post a reply to: something positive? well here it is, dungey interview
