I remember Goat reached over and turned off Bob Hannahs gas on the starting line of one of the supercrosses round 1980. Saw him at Carlsbad 88 500cc Golden State nationals he still hauled ass n smoked everyone
1990 500 usgp at Glen Helen. They had a vintage race during intermission.Goat kicked ass on an old husky. There was a 120ft table top he was greasing every lap. I may have exaggerated the size a bit.
Still have a handful of the neon pink and blue GFI stickers from his race club and I consider myself lucky to have raced in one of his amateur supercross events at the LA Coliseum on my KX60, back in '90 or '91. There is some good coverage of Goat on a CR500 at Carlsbad during the 1988 CMC Golden State Nationals that aired on TNN's American Sports Calvalcade, that I've posted below. And dig on the custom Pro Circuit cone pipe that is shown during Steve Evans (RIP) interview with Goat. For me, I'd like to hear how Goat got involved with the historic Randsburg mining town and what level of involvement he still has? And from what I can find, it appears Goat's Sky Ranch is permanently closed?

Great guy! Met him back many years ago in Riverside working for a company that escapes my mind at this time. Easy to get along with and yes he does have stories.

Will someone please bring back Tecnosel seat covers!
I've bought a few reproduction Tecnosel seat covers for my KX500 from this cat in Florida.

Although, when I got serious about racing my KX500, the slipppery Tecnosel seat cover was swapped for a GUTS Racing gripper.
I grew up in Orange County and would ride Saddleback Park during the week in the early 80's. On a few occasions GB would be there and parked next to him a couple times. Did not really talk with him as I was too embarrassed due to my slow shit ability but to just watch what he could do on the track was crazy.
And he and a few other pro's that would ride there are the reason I went back to school.
I had the wavy style, and the suede(ish) covers on a CR250 and they were both pretty grippy. It's cool that someone is re-poping them though.
Paging PulpMx please, would be great to hear of his career and life. Good idea soren346.
Had a pair of his Goat eyewear sunglasses in the 90’s. Seemed like a cool cat and dang! It would be cool if Saddleback was still around I could be there in 15-20 minutes from what is now home.
Always cool to hear about the old pros that are no longer part of the circus.
Yes, a Pulp MX guest feature with Goat would be awesome!
Anyone else have to do the ICY HOT on the nutsack to enter his warehouse-like our group of racers did lol?!?!
Hes a NUT!
When Goat was running GFI a group of my buddies became really close with him. Often he would come over to their pits and shoot the shit. Being the joker Goat was, one time he took my buddies bike and hid it around the corner. When he did, he turned his gas off and laid it down on the ground out of sight. Eventually, my buddy found it, and they all laughed and joked about it, but he didn’t turn his gas/petcock back on. My buddy, Bill Reimer ended up running out of gas in the first turn the next moto and when Tony Alessi, who was announcing the race, saw Bill kicking at the dirt, he announced, “It looks like Bill Reimer ran out of gas in the first turn and is kicking mad!”
We started calling him Kickin Bill after that, and 30+ years later we still call him Kickin!
I used to race the GFI (Goat For It) Winter Series here in SoCal - it was always well-run and attracted tons of competition. I got my clock cleaned in those days, I tell ya!
1977 Corona Raceway Friday Night: Goat Breker on his Husky vs. Rex Staten on his Harley, some epic battles I saw.
Here is a young Goat hanging at the flat track races in Corona California. He is the taller of the two in the white jersey. A very down to earth, very friendly person, one of the very best for sure.
I got to know Goat and his family pretty well in the early 90's when I was racing GFI the years that he had it at Perris Raceway... Great guy all around and ran a great race program. One story that stands out about him from back then was when one of the Jetton brother's RM125 was stolen at the track during one of the huge Winter Series races when the place was packed... it was pretty much long gone.. A few days later, Goat heard of one of the local riff raff selling a RM125. He went to look at it pretending to want to buy it and asked if he could test ride it. They let him start it and Goat dropped it in gear and took off back to the track with it
