When April 15th rolls around I often think of Alexader, Julius Caeser, or Ghengis Khan's armies rolling through a civilization looting and pillaging but only from the productive, industrious, and employable. Leaving the unproductive unscathed. In the grand scheme and generalized this is what our government does. Long term, what are the effects of this? If sin taxes diminish the use of tobacco products, alcohol and the like, what does property taxes, income taxes, and sales taxes do? If income is a manifestation of labor, what is taxation at it's root? If someone like Trump is not spending money on taxes, does his money just sit in a Scrooge McDuck vault for him to roll around in nightly, or is he using it to promote commerce?

Won’t somebody please think of the rich people Sadpaying those taxes is such a burden!

They found approximately 100k in deductions per year over 15 years they didn't like.    Nothing burger after nothing burger.  Reality is statistically that is like a guy worth 50 thousand who takes a 10 dollar deduction the government doesn't like

But the precedent is set, So Lets see the Biden Bank's suspicious activity reports,  Heck I want to see everyone in congress' bank statements, medical records, police reports, birth certificates , Student records, political NGO' records various affiliated, foundations etc.   Lets really be transparent.

After all as Pelosi says,

" These documents are vital to meeting the House’s Constitutional mandate: guarding the public interest, defending our national security and holding our public officials to account."     BTW she was fired by voters this last November, lol 

I would love to see a complete draining of Government scum on both sides

If I interpretted you correctly I believe that is the point I was making. For instance, perhaps a publicly traded company pays little in tax, but the company itself generates huge amounts tax income through running it's business.

Trump will never be prosecuted for how he files his taxes…because all of congress does the exact same things.  So if they prosecute him, they are by default prosecuting themselves.

I'm much more interested to see the tax returns of people who's net worth has grown exponentially since being elected. What was Obama worth when he ran? Now he has a 20 million dollar mansion right on the coast, after they said the sea levels were going to rise and kill us all. Whatever.

I wasn’t referring to voluntarily releasing his returns. I was referring to the lack of IRS audits that occur every year for the sitting president. Those audits aren’t generally voluntary, so whether he wanted them or not shouldn’t matter. Unless he somehow influenced the decisions not to audit him, of course.

Obama always released his tax returns and the income that led to his net worth is pretty well documented. If you were actually ‘interested’ it wouldn’t take much effort to research. I think ‘interested’ really means just desiring to imply wrongdoing due to partisanship, and counting on people being too lazy to actually think.

Quite happy to investigate any tax fraud or suspect international dealings and off shores of any politicians and their immediate family, including Donny's and Biden's, and which this is really about. Everyone knows the rich can play the game better than the average. I'm no Biden voter or mega fan either. Guy's a threat to himself. Like any of the mega rich, they are protected unless they fall foul of the inner circle or completely fucked up beyond concealment.

Wasn't very hard to research was it. Or read earlier posts they say "every president since Nixon has made their tax returns public until Trump", who started a new precedent. I'm trying to imagine the thought process where one could truly believe that "their side" was completely altruistic and transparent in their deals with the public's best interests in mind, while the other was full of corrupt cheaters that hide their lengthy track record of fraud behind a deep state conspiracy.  Does that really sound like a plausible scenario to people?  And do people seriously believe that the government is such an efficient purveyor capital that they have a divine duty to pay them as much money as they "need"?  What a crazy world we live in. . .
