I think Jamie Dobb is great, but I still don't like the idea of England sending

ANY kind of team over to Italy.

It's like they were inviting PEARL JAM over, yet denying Eddie Vedder a *(&%^* visa.

Chatfield had Nunn's pace at Steel City, and I think Clarke would've beaten them both. When's the last time you saw them on a track together?

And Rup, just because you can't figure out a way to make any money over there doesn't mean they should skip the race. It'll go on without your support, believe it or not.

Nunn was on a stock Cernics bike with no practice, fell and came through the pack to finish ahead of Chatfield ! Brad has consistently beaten Gareth swanepoel all year at the British champs and Gareth went over to the states and got 6th overall just last month in AMA MX 1 !!

Er I think Shaun Simpson/ Billy Mackenzie will be in esp ahead of Clarke , probably Sword too and maybe Noble would be ahead of him, My vote would go Simpson factory KTM and the best rider the UK has I think he would be good on a 450 too asBilly's thumb doesn't appear to be right. Team GB chances may have just gone up.

Yep and Carl beat Swanepole and Brad straight up at Foxhills I think with more time Carl would have been top 10 his times were good in the 2nd moto. Also Karro did well in the 2nd moto caught Barcia in 10th before getting tired which is no surprise after riding Lierop for 3 days in a row (Lierop for 2 days then an international on the Monday) then flying straight to the US and nervous energy for his fiorst US race. Still he proved his pace on the hard pack tracks which he isn't renowned for.. he was the world junior champ last year, this year is currently 21st in GPs and 4th/5th in britain- but really good in sand!

Feel really bad for Brad he deserved his chance but, this actually makes the team stronger, Simspon and Searle give the team a much stronger look, if Nunn can find his GP form of a few years ago maybe a podium... will Shuan ride the 450 or 250?

Sword will probably be not happy though, he apparantly was unreal fast on the 450 KTM at the Ken Hall beating Nunn and Billy Mackenzie though I think nilly had problems.

And I presume Dave Thorpe will be the Team Manager now? maybe GB will come out of the last week stronger rather than weaker...

Talk about making excuses for Karro.I saw him in a battle for about 16th/17th in the second moto.

Stronger? I doubt it, the whole thing is a bit of a shambles it seems now - although I guess as soon as the gate drops nothing else really matters, you've just got to ride your heart out as you normally would.

I'd pick Simpson as long as he shows good speed in Brazil, he was unlucky getting two awful starts at Donington last year.

He hasn't done much in the GP's either this year to be honest, although people have high hopes for him in the future.

It's almost a cert that he'll be asked to ride for GB one day, but he hasn't done anything to warrant a place yet in my opinion.

GB have four or five or six reasonably quick, decent riders, all with experience now;
450's - Mackenzie, Nunn, Anderson
250's - Searle, Simpson, Sword

Obviously Anderson and Mackenzie are both injured now, but I don't think it matters who gets chosen, they're all capable of good rides.
