It's going to be a hard knock life for a while for J-Law. Seriously though I hope nothing but the best for him in the future.

Most everyone has wanted to see him get his crap straight for a long time, but its just not happened and I really don't see it happening. He has every chance but has continually thrown it away. Let hope he does make a triumphant return and becomes what everyone thinks he can be.

You guys are mistaken if you think JLaw will have a hard time in the County Jail, soon as the guards, and inmates that ride find out what his program is he'll be taken care of, the worst that could possibly happen is he'd get caught up in some riot which I doubt...

Sounds like everyone's time in the pokie is a little different, One thing is for certain his freedom will be gone and that alone might possibly wake his ass up.

But you know maybe it's like the AMA and they are out to get him ?

there is some real lunatics going through that place I'm sure so there is always the chance someone could go off on him.

This is BS he gets 365 days but theres people out there getting DUI's and get no prison time. There is a town near me that a few kids beat some hispanic man to death last year and got 6 to 12 months in prison. J-law bites a ear and get just as much. What happend to Mike Tyson?

It's because it's not the first time in the last year or two he's been in front of a court for doing the same things over and over again. You get away with things a couple of times because they'll cut you some slack. But if you keep showing up over and over, eventually they'll tire of being nice.

Mike Tyson's ear bite never entered the criminal courts. He lost his boxing license and was fined $3 million and also had to pay costs.

Two men in a ring trying to beat the crap out of each other is a little different than the jlaw case. JMO

Is there more detail on the charges? I'm vaguely familiar with a couple of the incidents but man, 1 year seems a little harsh. Are they calling a missing chunk of ear "serious bod inj"? I would think serious would be a little bit more life threatening. What the heck is "PC Mayhem"? 4 felonies? Hopefully he gets out in 6 months all shiny and new.
Biting is mayhem, you can transfer a deadly disease like aids by biting. Good riddance. So what is the upstanding AMA ruling on felons who apply for the pro license again,. Probably give him a bonus. Hes a little dude jail is gonna be rough.

To see this happen doesnt surprise me. It really sucks though because I had alot of good times with Jason including laughing about what some people post on here. The laughing has stopped now and I hope the same people that were claiming to be his "friends" will step up and be one. I walked away from him because I had my own life to figure out. I pray he gets level with himself and figures out just how to be happy whether it be racing or not. There is more to life than a motorcyle.

sepkovic must have been his attorney also... i find it hard to believe that they didnt drop the charges to MM's atleast. any good lawyer should be able to get those down.

i do wish i could watch it on court tv. id love to see his face when they told him he is going in for a year.
Jlaw got what the rest of us would have so maybe being Jlaw doesn't pay so well after all. It's amazing how money and attention can influence a prosecutor, NFL guys face these charges and it's usually mentioned as so and so also faces additional lesser charges.

Now if Jlaw had enough cash that he could afford to throw 80K at a bunch of strippers he could have bought himself probably five more years of bar fights and disorderly conduct or maybe three years of bar fights involving drugs, assaults, vandalism and firearms.

His middle name is Donald. It's a mistake on the rest, I guess.

Go back & re-read the original post you used the term in. I think his point is that you used the word out of context. For someone who likes to sling around mud, you sure get your panties in a wad quickly when it's slung back your way. Bummer for J-Law, but as the saying goes..."if you can't do the time..." Odd to me that there are actually people in this thread bragging about having been to jail/prison. Just when you think you've seen it all. And Void, if you were the one who lost a chunk of your ear, would you not consider that causing serious injury? Didn't he stab the kid with a screwdriver, as well? Or was that a separate incident?...//TJ

I don't think Jason has learned yet that there is more to life than a motorcycle. That's all he knows. He got away with everything as growing up, which I think is the main cause of his troubles. He was just a kid causing a ruckus in Wawa gas stations, so no one really took him too seriously. He just hasn't realized that he's grown up, and that people aren't going to be as tolerant of his "humor" in the real world. It's a shame. Maybe this will open his eyes, and he will eventually get to show everyone how talented he really is.

That's the rumor, but the "friend" he did all that to, still apparently rolls with him.

I don't see guys bragging about going to jail in this thread, I see it as speaking from experience. I'm glad they have decided to share their stories. Face it most of us know someone who has gone to jail at one time or another..

The guy is still one of my favorite riders and people. He fucked up! Hope he comes back stronger and smarter. He will have plenty of time to get his head straight, and a game plan to move forward.

Kind of hard to do that with what Scott has on his own plate.

What is on his plate? I have heard rumors of some issues between Monster and him...

It is hard to tell what he got from the booking info shown.

On a felony one could get prison time and be taken into custody at the sentencing. The sentence would not be reflected in the booking record. You then get booked into the local county jail and then transferred to another facility to serve the time. Alternatively, you can get probation with county jail time as a condition thereof.

The good time credits vary substantially from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. One could get a year and a day and be required to serve it all, whereas a sentence of a year could be 6 months.

The sentencing order or minute entry would be the dispositive document to see to figure out what he really received. This should be on line at the court he was sentenced in.

(damn, that Maico in your profile looks nice!)
So you gonna race in any of Bobby White's vint races at ACP? or the AVDRA events that start soon?

The Maico in the profile is the one I purchased out of Phx that had "issues".....

I have a couple of other very nice Maicos that yearn to be slapped around.... One is a 490 that has only been ridden by an old, out of shape MD...who happened to do OK on it.

Is 365 days after a 2 year sentence suspended after 1 year or just a straight year??
Don't discount his days if he has a longer pre-arrangement, Also in many states, a person in Punk City (protective custody) will not have work duties because of their protective status, which works against any good time. I agree with Len, that his status a racer will get him somewhere in a California prison. Unlike what it would be if he was sentenced back in New Jersey.
If you're shocked by his sentence, remember it's not his first encounter with the law. He was warned. Save the tears for a person who has been wronged.

I said it before....

If Jason stays out of trouble in jail, he will regroup, form a new team, team up with some old sponsors, and do well.

"Second Chance Racing" team will be a business.

Not being able to drink do drugs or get into trouble may actually help him win another Championship.

Talent doesn't just evaporate..

JLaw is a dumba$$. I hope Big Bubba or whoever is his new "room mate" helps him with his dental work and his attitude. Allthough most of you wish him good luck and hope he will be back soon, I hope the turd goes all FMX and gets all tatted up and becomes the freak show we all hope he can be.

P.S. Good Ridance!
