but if you want to hold that against him, go for it…

Don  I'm not being combative and don't want to argue with you.

The scene link you sent came up as Hank Hill cartoon.   I searched for the Rush scene and saw the patch announcement (10 sec clip)...  it's still referencing this Hunt characters propensity as a cocksmith.        I'm sorry, I see Forkner as exploiting that regarding his then girlfriend.  I remember that season and all the "veteran" racers were commenting on Austin and the "Monster Girl"....wink wink.

Hey...in the end good for him for getting the girl....but displaying the "conquest" flag  on a national TV level....not cool in my book.

We've all done stupid things when we were young.

I just sat on the toilet for 5min at work to make this. You’re welcome.

If he shows up at A1 with 'Sporkner' on his pants, Vital will explode.

And he will gain a fan.

I’m not trying to argue either…you’re just reading way too much into the butt patch…watch the movie you’ll come away with a different perspective on Hunt and why Forkner used that patch…and on top of that it’s a pretty good movie

Or or or.....imagine this....he just has a different opinion than you???

The whole "if you just understood you'd agree with me" thing is so tired. It's ok to not have the same opinion, at least it should be.

No, you literally said watch the movie and he'll come away with a different perspective.

Serious question: What has Austin done that has made so many people not like him?

Probably the same reason people hated a young CR22. He doesn’t come of as being very humble. I feel he’s either gloating or pouting. It easy to root against a poor sport. Maybe he has grown up in his time off. I hope so. He’s a talented SOB.

The great University of Michigan football coach Bo Schembechler used to say: "Show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser."

dude has the talent but his bench racing  is better than his actual performances.......seems like hunter n jett got under his skin quite abit  awhile back.......

wish him all the best in 23 for at least an injury free SX season (he deserves that much)....but he is no longer the number one guy on his team  anymore (jo and maccas have him covered)...let alone the HRC crew and a bevvy of STAR up n comers......

I've rooted for him since he first came up to the professional ranks, he's always had insane talent.

I understand how a lot of people think he comes off as a bit arrogant, but I never thought it was any more over the top than quite a few other guys. The same people who talk down on Forkner's personality will turn around and praise J-Law. Funny how that works.

I hope he does well, stays healthy, and finds a way to finally win a championship.

He's married, and there's more to life than money and fame.

Pretty much every female is going to cheat if given the opportunity. Women are hard wired from evolution to look for the male that will provide them with the most comfort and protection, and their sexual behavior is driven entirely by this primal inclination to find the most protective male with the highest social status. But women are also used to being passed around from one alpha male to another as they become undesired by one they will naturally float back to the other and so forth.

Still, I don't get the Forkner hate. Then again, I've always thought the kid was one helluva rider AND a nice kid...all at the same time.

No worries, just put me in the category of guys that want to see Austin get a full season in.

You know...I remember RC on the KX...I remember people calling him "cocky" or "egotistical"...hell, I remember people writing him off after his foot-peg tried to kill him...again, on the KX...he had haters...people booing him on the podium...yup...Good Times! And, look what became of him!

Yup...no worries.

This is where people are gonna flame-out and say I'm comparing Austin to RC...classic! It's called "reference" and it will get lost in the minutia...just watch...Silly

Signed,

Uh, no. It was his rookie year on a Kawasaki. It was in San Diego, I was there.

My guess is mid to late 20's, accelerated learning path, working in tech or near the tech industry (based on his location)....obviously never been married, but has had a few serious girlfriends but always breaks up with them because he has it all figured out but doesn't have the time to "teach" them.

I'll take your word on it. I've hit my head quite a bit, but I could swear it was on his debut ride on the Honda at A1 2002. He crashed on the double going into the whoops and Larocco was right behind him. Regardless that's a brutal injury, especially that close to the junk.

I could careless about fame. Money is a big part of life, as it does run the world. Having it and not having to worry about where your next meal comes from, not having to worry about your family being taken care of, or having to stress out everyday if you can pay your bills is a great feeling. Money is a huge part of life unfortunately. Anyone who says different is lying.

* Couldn't careless

The point was that money/fame doesn't buy happiness.

Thanks for the grammar correction.  But back to the point, yes money can buy happiness, peace of mind, comfort etc. Not having to worry about money problems is a huge weight lifted off most people's chest. Happiness can have several meanings.
