Take away the stupid freestyle show at SX half time and let them have a SX series.

First of all there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with a Gay girl! It's hot when done tastefully and without short haircuts or flanel.

Yeah girls MX sucks! I would ten times rather watch up and coming amateurs then girls. If they are so fast they can smoke me and all the people on the board put a timer on their bike and let them qualify like everyone else. I would be stoked to see a fast chick make the main based on earning a starting gate not being given one.

I am tired of hearing how Chad Reed may not have a ride and James could not run the nationalsbecause there is no money in the industry yet there was plenty of funding to pit these girls out of semi's. The money being spent on these girls could be used to get guys like Hamblin, Jacob Saylor, and many others to the races. This would make the supposedly shallow talent pool deeper and make the racing better.

Wow I didnt even realize how much the womens class was disliked.

I have a different take tho, I see the work that my daughter puts into it and I think that they work just as hard as any factory guy, go through the same suffereing that the guys do and desrerves the money they make. They are willing to put their necks on the line just like the guys, but for pennys

All the girls salarys combined couldnt fund Chads contract.

If they are working JUST as hard as the guys they should be just as fast so there should be no issue.

I have a daughter also and i have several close friends that have daughter that ride. Briana Mahon #156 is a great rider and occasionally holeshots the B class at our local track.

NONE of them have any right to be there if they can't qualify. Our sport is one of the very few where someone can just show up and make it big. All they have to do is sign up and twist the throttle if they are good enough they make the show!

Danica Patrick doesn't race the women's class!

You have got to be kidding. I doubt a WMA pro could win the C class at Loretta's, and you think they deserve to make the same money as an AMA pro with a factory ride? Haha, seriously, that is hilarious.

I'm all for the thrill-a-minute womens classes.

In fact we should have MORE womens classes, from pee-wee to Vet Pro

on Saturday. All 185 worldwide womens motocross participants should

be showcased in front of all the thousands of paying customers,

Just like they do in F-1, Nascar, IndyCar, MotoGP and everything.

Danica should haver her own class ! Forget the logics of integration,

continue with segregation !

We should banish those yawn-a-thon men's pro races to Sunday.

Ok I have been a long time lurker and had to sign up just for this.

Seriously how many of you fat fucks have even swung your leg over a bike in the last week? Who cares if the woman are not as fast as the men, its the sport they choose and love to do.

Why do all of you sorry ass moter fuckers sit around and try to figure out who you are going to belittle that week?

Everyweek there is something new foryou fucks to bitch about...if its not reed its tedesco or short or Jlaw....for christ sake let the whole Jlaw thing go!!!

Bottem line is who cares if the woman are not as fast..let them do what they love without having some fat ass red neck behind a computer screen say they would rather watch quads then them at half time.

Id like to see 90% of you that talk shit behind a computer screen walk up to AF67 or JP$ and tell them you think they shouldnt race for money or during the pro show!

I think that it's safe to stay that Women's motocross has been doing nothing but progressing over the past year. From Ashley dethroning legendary Jessica Patterson, earning a full factory ride, and coming out swinging like a freight train each and every weekend, she is without a doubt bumping up the level these phenomenal girls, or should I say athletes, are pushing themselves each weekend.

After checking out the schedule of events at the upcoming Steel City national, it came to my attention that as listed, there will be only 1 moto for the WMA Pro Class. Thinking it was just a typo, I was dumbfounded when I realized that the time slot reserved for the WMA Pro Moto 2 was replaced by ATV Racing. Last time I checked, these Nationals are hosted by MX Sports.. not ATV-MX Sports. No offense to any quad riders out there, but you have your own Nationals.

This really makes me upset. I myself do not race in the pro class, however it definitely a goal that I would love to achieve. Hearing about this made me second guess that dream. People aren't pushing for a change concerning this 1 moto issue, and if it is not corrected, it's going to happen more often. Many think that problems like this may lead up to causing the WMA to separate from the Men's nationals.

Unfortunately that would cause a chain reaction. That would result in the WMA getting less publicity. As much as I absolutely love watching the pro girls race, I can guarantee they would not get half the crowd the men get if it wasn't for them being on the tour.

It's bad enough that the girls aren't getting motos nearly as long as the men's. I think that the WMA class should be getting 2 20 minute motos each race, at least. It's also pretty rough that the WMA only races at a fraction of the tracks the men race at.

I wrote an email to Mx Sports but have yet to receive a response, but I assumed that would happen. Does anyone else agree with me that this is bogus?

So you're upset that the WMA, which two years ago was a side-show, is only getting one moto at the last race of the year? They've been given two motos in front of thousands of fans at eight rounds of the AMA nationals, an hour long show on VS, a factory ride for the best girl, have the resources of MX Sports behind them and they have the nerve to only give them one moto at the last round? What jerks....that DC...he must hate Womens racing.

Wow, that takes balls to complain..or actually I guess it doesn't.

There should NEVER be a complaint from any WMA girls, if they are not happy with what they have been supported with this year, perhaps they hold their own series and see who shows up?

I'm glad the WMA is getting the exposure with the nationals, and I hat quads with a passion, but anyone who thinks pro quads are boring, has not been to a pro quads race. I would be willing to be that the quads are night and day faster and more exciting than the women
This is true. Those guys aren't afraid to get nasty and lay it all on the line. Not to mention their times aren't far off the top bikes most of the time. Quad dudes don't get enough credit.

If women were genuinely concerned about bettering the sport of motocross and

advancing their rights - they would be campaigning solidly for better women's

restroom facilities at NATIONALS and furthering the growth of girls and women in amateur

motocross.

Dare I say it ?

I just did.

And don't dare break out the word "sexist" or "sexism", I'm all about seeing Ashley or Jessica in a REAL National.

Integration - not segregation. Use Logic and forethought. . Not emotions.

Damn, guess I'm in the minority here. I actually dig the women racing. Maybe having a daughter is why I feel this way? I think they market it all wrong though. Perhaps if we knew more about the women racers, the haters may change their mind? I've yet to see an interview with a girl mx'er about her personal life. They have helmets on and it makes it hard to know who any of them are... They are just a number when they hit the track.

We hear and outside stories of the male riders, so we kinda get an inside look at them away from the track.

I know there are plenty of interviews with the top 3 or 4 girls, but how bout 5-15?? They race too, and I'm sure they all have a great story on why they do what they do, how they got here, and what they like to do in their down time. In order for the womens mx series to grow, we need more personal interaction with the riders.

I'll say it for the second time in this thread. One of the best moto's this year was in the WMA. Any of you who would rather see quads fucking up the good lines should be killed. The women are badass.

Most wouldn't want to see quads race. I don't. And most wouldn't want to see my 46 year old body sloth around a motocross track........and that's the speed of the top women. Sorry. JMO.

I appreciate what they do and think they should get 2 full motos.............on their own schedule.

Personally, I love watching the girls go around. Its amazing to think this would have been impossible to see or even consider a womens class of such high level a few years ago.

great post there katie. wow didnt realize the chicks are getting the moto2 boot. i saw them at glen helen and was damn impressed and they were just as entertaining as the guys. and ashley is so cute. if ididnt have a women already i would be all over that. i think it really sucks ass for atvs to take there spot. but you know what atvs are pretty cool i saw some at racetown 395 the other day and it sure looked fun to whip them around the flat corners.

nice post katie. thank you for sharing.

I know a lot of people who like watching the women race. It was far and away the best race at the X Games, and we've had some great ones this summer between Ashley and Jessica. I know the old-timers would prefer to see Aberg and Jonsson battling instead of the girls, but I don't think Bengt and Ake would be available to race here next summer.

The WMX is here to stay in the series, and so is the one-day Saturday format. It allowed for the huge upgrade in the TV package, the riders and teams love it, and it would be tough to have practice on a Friday when most people are at work (not only the spectators, but the flaggers, course marshals, volunteers, concession stands, etc.)

If you don't like watching the girls race, just don't watch. Go get a snack or check out the pits or the sponsors village... We hope everyone will warm up to the girls racing, but if they don't, we hope they enjoy the other things we have to offer.

Personally I'd rather see an amateur class or two get the chance to run on pro day just to get the thrill of racing in front of thousands of fans. Have a different class at each round. I would like this better than watching quads or women.

I dig the top 2 or 3...after that it doesn't thrill me

I still say that DC should have, someway for the top "B" riders race in front of a national crowd and sponsors to show the future of moto and where it's headed. 15 or 20 of the baddest of the bad for AM racing.

The sad part, or well, the reason why I say the chicks need to hush, is that those quad racers, will turn faster lap times then they will. Hell, the pro guys turn faster lap time son a freakin quad than most of us EVER will in our lifetime on a bike!

Disagree. Magazines write about what they want to write about and hope we like it.

If message boards are any indicator, the magazines every month should have articles on J-Law and Alessi. Those two names stir up the most threads on here, and a few other boards.

I'm a huge fan of Ashley. And yes I love watching the top 3 or so girls go at it. But I can run their speed for a time. We all ride on the same tracks here in California so you can gage your speed easily by jumping in with them. Can I stay with Ash for 30 minutes? No way! Can this old guy run the same lap time? Yep.I don't want the WMA to go away at all. Just so it doesn't interfere with the main program.

Edit: I will say this. She would flat smoke me on an SX track!
