I'm old and slow... ride it Vet C class. Still learning and have basically no experience with 'old' two strokes. Just started riding a few years ago mostly to stay in shape for snowmobiling, but kind of fell in love with the sport and looking to devote a lot more time to it next year. I ride a 450 today and have been looking to get a new bike so I could turn my 450 into a permanent snowbike. Just like the idea of riding a two stroke so that's why I'm leaning this way vs another 450 or 350.

That looked fun!

I haven’t checked the fork pressure or set the sag at all. I’m just riding it. I’ll worry about pressures and sag after I get this thing revalved for my weight and skill (210 pound 40 C-B rider in the woods). This bike is incredible. I have to remember that I don’t need to flick the clutch in the woods and that I should just ride it like a 350. For a vet C guy, the 300 has torque and feels easier to ride but the 250 is more fun and “engaging”.
For anyone looking for pipe guards for the stock pipe P3 has them, I ordered mine directly from P3.
This is one is called the max coverage, it comes all the way back to the frame.
If possible, I'd like to fit one to my bike (not a KTM) , as an all in one switch. Having the Kill switch and Start button on my Brembo MCylinder upper clamps put them in a difficult place to get to. Though, here in OZ the switch is listed at around $154 AUD.
KTM has these setup for 60:1 in part because they have to, not necessarily because they want to.
