Well.. I didn't buy a Suzi today, but I finally got one sold... been on CL/FB for months... finally got a cash offer for 300 hundy less than my already reduced price... I didn't get "terrible" money for it... but it took forever to sell...

btw... for you guys looking to buy new... December is by far the best month to do so... especially for cash buyers... I would expect a good chunk under MSRP OTD right now on anything but the hottest models....

Dam I didn't know that. When I bought my Kawi I told every dealer I was buying a bike and I have cash. They didn't seem to care.

It's true, I've spent a lot of time working at both car and motorcycle dealers and they make more in the finance office than they do on the actual sale more often than not. You also shouldn't offer a trade in until the price of the vehicle is negotiated. Think about it like how you never ask for double meat at Chipotles until they give you the first scoop. Let them show their hand first. lol

I was just thinking the other day, while slightly outdated I think the Suzuki is still a competitive bike and is capable of winning at the pro level and at the local level nobody is capable of riding a 450 to its full potential anyway so why not save some money and nobody that identifies as a real man needs an electric start the kick starter is fine and you won't get stranded in the middle of nowhere with a dead battery plus they corner really well and yellow is a great color. Anyone have similar thoughts?
Not having much to do with Suzuki, but just the statement of not being able to ride a bike to its full potential that I hear a lot. While almost none of us can ride any bike to its potential, it’s not about that. It’s more about what bike can we ride to our potential.

I would say 99% of people on this forum could change bikes and if they were set up, they would run the same lap time.
Most of us aren’t held back by the bike, it’s by your right hand.

Excellent post and reinforces why I don’t ride a 450 anymore ha!

Very strange - all these Zook threads & no Tyler sightings.

That I saw.

A buddy of mine got a 21 and paid 6900 and some change. He mapped it, put on a pipe and did the suspension, it’s a good bike.

Temecula Motorsports just had a '22 RM-Z450 for $4999.95 on the floor. That is cheaper than what I bought my '04 CRF450 new back in 04. There's deals to be had, and for someone that is just looking for a new bike without breaking the bank, the Suzuki is a deal of the century. Who cares that it doesn't have electric start, it's fuel injected so it will kick over np. The bike looks good and it's more than what most weekend warriors can ever use.

They tack on a bunch of fees that takes it over $7,500

I really don't have an issue with fees but adding 50% to the sticker price cost seems a bit greasy. That alone would have me looking elsewhere.

Bought a new in crate 2020 in April of 2020 when bike prices were already going crazy for 6200 OTD plus a 10 hour round trip dive
