Who do you think L&M should hire as James Stewart's team mate for 2010? There are a lot of rider's looking for rides and L&M is looking for a team mate for Stewart. So who will it be?

Hansen rode for JGR in 2008.

Why would L&M hire Alessi if they were going outdoor racing? Don't you think they would just put Stewart in the outdoor series? They would have a better shot winning outdoors with Stewart over Alessi and would have to hire another rider.

Oops ....my bad lol somehow I got the two mixed up in the connection .... of Yamaha teams, I really had a brain fart. If it is Hansen I'd be surprised but hey anything could happen, I just think there are more than a few unemployed riders for next year that could do a lot more for the same amount of money not bashing Hansen but even thought he won the X games 2 years in a row doesn't calculate to consistency over a whole season ....something he has had a problem with but hey it will be one of the best "silly seasons" in a long time!

No, but let's go ahead and start that one now.

I think Kyle's been busy healing up. He kind of trashed one of his knees at the U.S. Open, and that didn't help his cause any throughout the season.

If Kyle's not coming back? I'd wait a few weeks and see who's available?

Tedesco? Brayton? Alessi? Byrne? I guess it depends on how serious L&M is about their second guy. I assume they'd want someone who could go for podiums.

There will be alot of top level factory guys needing rides so it will be a buyers market for the race teams. Why hire a midpack rider when you can hire a top 5 rider for cheap.

Would imagine it would also depend on how much money is left on the table after Stewie's been paid. That can't be cheap...

As Larry used to be team manager at ktm when Hansen got his 3mil 3 year ktm deal right?

Byrne maybe? Used to be teamates back in the day for Kawasaki. Although, i do not think Byrne would be much of a team player.

In the latest RacerX Stewart podcast he said as much. He could see Alessi on a Yamaha but not on his team. Also, on a DMXS podcast right before outdoors started, Brooks said he loves MA but if he were to go racing outdoors why wouldnt he just send the guy he already has that went 24-0 his last time out.

yes GuyB you're right. chisholm did have to deal with a torn up knee through the season but i believe he had it operated on after sx and is healing up to be 100% ready for the 2010 season. now he's just looking for a ride. that's why no one's heard of him Lightning78.

stewart on the racer x podcast said he thinks josh hill will be riding blue in 2010. the only logical place for him imo is l&m . js and hill are buddies and he's got a sx win, seems like a good fit
