Qualifying is one thing but and race shape is another.

I guarantee you Eli is in the best shape of any rider out there. I heard his trainer is pretty skilled.

Might be because most of the next big thing talk about Tomac comes from the Euros, usually when one of your guys beats him or just runs with him. If I had to guess though, probably an easy, fast track that allows lesser skilled riders to race with the Tomacs of the world.

He's fast but Tomac ain't an RC in the making, not close. I think Cianciarulo will overshadow a bunch of guys that are a little older than him when he finally hits the pros. Including your wonder boy Roczen, he's a little over 2 years younger but wouldn't know it when they were on the track together.

Of course, between LL's last year and now, he's surpassed James Stewart, thrashed a stacked mx2 class to become youngest GP winner. McGrath skipped amateur domination too, worked for him so who knows.

This is not an easy track, it is very technical in sections and gets very rough/rutted. You need to be very fit to do well there so we will see who has the skill/fitness as the racing unfolds.

No live timing unfortunately, but the results and stats are posted sometime after the racing, I'll keep checking throughout the day.

I dont want to make excuses for why Eli was a couple of seconds off Tye Simmonds pace [nor do I need to] but the track appears to be a mudder.Tye stated that he got out there and laid down his fastest lap early on before the track deteriorated.Maybe the other riders didn't.The race will decide the champ not qualifying.

I disagree, Tomac very well could be be the next RC.

I would guess that the track has cleared up abit, may not be as muddy as yesterday. I know the Aussies were very smart with tactics in yesterdays practice, went out there and set fast laps straight away before the track got too sloppy.

Should be interesting racing!

Might be because most of the next big thing talk about Tomac comes from the Euros, usually when one of your guys beats him or just runs with him. If I had to guess though, probably an easy, fast track that allows lesser skilled riders to race with the Tomacs of the world.

He's fast but Tomac ain't an RC in the making, not close. I think Cianciarulo will overshadow a bunch of guys that are a little older than him when he finally hits the pros. Including your wonder boy Roczen, he's a little over 2 years younger but wouldn't know it when they were on the track together.

Of course, between LL's last year and now, he's surpassed James Stewart, thrashed a stacked mx2 class to become youngest GP winner. McGrath skipped amateur domination too, worked for him so who knows.

Dobbyn led for the first 10 laps from Simmonds and then Tomac, last report Tomac was leading with Simmonds just behind
